Take a look at this mate:

You can even get number portability =)). I simulated 2gb a month of data and 10 minutes of phone calls and the bill was like 80 bucks or something (you have to have at least a little voice coverage).

Guess it's your better shot right now!

That page seems to only have limited data plans, i don't wanna have to worry about having to pay more because a page was too big

Re: Brazilian Maemo users, please say hello

I have an unlimited data plan, but my phone bill shows all the traffic I create using my phone.

Trust me, it's a LOT of data. I am a very heavy user, I use 3G all the time, and like I mentioned before, I also share my wifi with other people (sometimes 3 or 4 during 3-4 day events).

I never went further than 2 gb. Even if it counts all the data I send AND receive (that's all those mother****ers charge it), it never got more than 1.5gb.

I honestly think this is worth trying for you. But hey, your decision =)

Since it's post paid, there is always the risk i'll go over the limit and then they will demand me to pay way more than i can afford

Guys, this is just to let you know that there is a feature request for the Hermes app to include Orkut integration, which I would believe would be kinda nice for us all.

You can vote for this feature to be integrated in the next release at https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8224

(Subscription is quite fast, all you need to inform is your e-mail. I did it in literally fourty seconds =)

If you know of other Brazilian users of the N900 and want to vote for this, let them know too!

Re: Brazilian Maemo users, please say hello

Even though brazilians are among the top users of Orkut, not all brazilians are all that into it.

colchaodemola, out of your question.... I was unable to use a OI chip, it just didn't work. As I use vivo, it wasn't a problem, but just found it curious... did you have any problem at all with the OI chip?

Re: Brazilian Maemo users, please say hello

Why didn't work ? I have no problems with OI (Except those of OI as a **** provider) but the SIM works just fine.

Hello friends, I am Bill of Sao Paulo - BR.
I bought my N900 to 1 month in a trip I made to the U.S.. I already knew this device and I fascinated with their potential and to have a GNU / Linux that really gives me the freedom that mobile phones do not.

--------------------------

Consert-Cell do Shopping Eldorado (nunca levem lá!).

Hi, all!

I'm Ricardo, living in Fortaleza, CE - Brazil.

I've had many problems with the N900 that I fixed in some way since I had it, but one that I could not solve yet is setting Brazil as the region. If I use "América Latina" as region, all my contacts appear as if they are from Mexico! Does anyone know how to solve this? Do you know if I can install n900-i18n-pt-br for this, but still use the device configured for the English language?

Diego, o celular era um N900? Ficou bom o conserto? E quando cobraram por isso? Agradeço qualquer outra informação, pois acho que vou precisar desse serviço... :(

Same here - but they are dropping so many calls here (Fortaleza) that I'm willing to give another operator a try...

Olá usuários Maemo do Brasil (Hi Maemo users from Brazil),

I am physicist and work on UFES. I have a Nokia N810 (08/2009) and a Nokia N900 (04/2011). I was living in Rio de Janeiro-RJ for one year but I recently moved to Vitória-ES.
