okay i have a problem with this app..my notification light only blinks white according to the app and does not work normally.if i disable the app from the desktop then the notification light does not work at all!!help?

Cool widget, wish there were more configuration options though as there are times you dont want your phone beeping but you may still want the notifications... Akso wish I could modify its sync timing as I want to know the scores but it does not need to be online all the time!

The beeping from testing was getting a little annoying this evening but at least I know it works...

i would pay for this app if they decide to use it all year with the europeans leagues and if i can follow the teams i like.

And I could have sweared it was the spirit of blessed Diego Armando who was giving me a vision of the things to come :(

Now I have probably lost my money on international betting market, I don't think that Argentina is going to make those five goals in eight minutes after all...

if it dosn install u need to uninstall some of the widgets which i have told and then install pelota and then u can reinstall all those u have deleted !!

please check back 4 pages or so !! thank you !! and after uninstalling try rebooting !!

no it gets worse....i was woke up constantly last night....kept saying south africa had scored.....they were 5-0 up when i eventually removed the widget. I put it back on this morning and argentina are now 4-0 up....keeps giving wrong games on wrong days and i really hope this is just a test coz otherwise this app is a steaming pile of s***e :->

We have a little problem also, when you are not online ( disconnect the internet) the widget will show nothing, even the result exist.!! I hope it can be exist as RSS till next online.

ok...dont know for deffinite but since i removed(disabled) the widget the green charging power light has stopped working now on my phone....anyone else getting this?

well widget works but has serious issues,

First the games haven't started and I already got notification that Argentina scored 5 goals against Nigeria :D

Its buggy, no way to modify settings , i dont want it to modify my LED settings or vibrate i just want to have scores available on my phone

@neotalk ,yeah restart is the only way to get it back


I've disabled it for now, until there is a new version I wont use it too buggy

I had to remove the widget this morning, since it was alerting every 2 mins with an annoying beep.

Will try tomorrow, when the testing will be finished hopefully :-)

Confirmed I have the widget disabled and the charging light still does not come on. Very strange. Bit of a bug there but I can live with if it works as described.

i was just trying to install it but.------- i changed my mind.
Cos it needs to add a catalogue & i am only using Extras Appl. on My N900 to avoid any problems with Devel. & Testing Appl.

i will wait till it hits the Extras, otherwise track it vis my phone provider.. ;)

If the bugs are not fixed it is not going to be promoted to Extras.

Seems like the problems with the notification lights are quite severe at the moment.

Promotion to Extras takes 10 days (and to keep Extras clean no exceptions should be made), so it won't just pop up there right away.
Just uninstall qt4-maemo5-homescreen-loader and irreco-widget and you should be good to go.
and you're good to go.

Bad packaging here though, it should depend on the qt4-maemo5-homescreen-loader package instead of include files in it.

Altered the package a bit, changed the control file to depend on qt4-maemo5-homescreen-loader OR qt4-homescreen-loader
You'll have to do an apt-get -f install afterwards, but you should be able to install the irreco widget now.
Hope no one minds this :)

It would be great if it would just announce a Goal with a wav of some crazy commentator shouting.......'G..O...A....L' each time a Goal was scored.

Wish they would sort this thing out.
Great idea but it seems to be a disaster.
Notification lights stop working and the application seems stuck in a continuous testing loop
Might be time to uninstall this whole application

Notification lights stopped working for me too. Uninstalling and rebooting did not help.

Did you actually read the thread? If so you will see posts from the developers explaining they are testing still and so to remove the widget from your desktop till tomorrow.

There does seem to be a notificattion light issue, but I can live with that whilst the WC is on.

So why the disaster comment?

I just don't get the attitude here, people complain about lack of apps then make ill educated critisism whne apps are released.

I take the view of encouraging developers with informative feedback. That way they may stick around and learn how to get the best out of Maemo/Meego.

Yes i have read the thread.
The developers said restart the widget soon (posted at 3.18am today) not tomorrow. The World cup starts tomorrow so i would expect the application to be working by now.

If you don't like it and are not going to make an effort of giving some constructive feedback/bug report to the developer then just un-install it.

If you want to rubbish this, or any other app, why not at least have the courtesy to give the developer a chance to respond.

We have so many apps to choose from on the N900 that we can dismiss peoples efforts will juvenile ill considered comment can we?

Grow up and have a bit of community spirit.

I really like the idea this app. It looks nice and will surely be fun when the games begin.

However, the problem with the notification light is really bad (for me the working LED is really important and one of the core functionalities of N900). The application really should not override the other LED settings this way.

I suppose that something in the mce.ini has got screwed. The problem is, I don't have a slightest idea what and how to fix it.

It is working, as the tests show. Not sure what else you expected it to do today as there are no matches :rolleyes:
