And all good?

yup. But make sure that you have enough space on the rootfs.(80+ MB)

To check: open terminal, type "sudo su" then "df -m | grep "rootfs"
and look for the number in 4th column. So, something like this

rootfs 228 147 77 66% /

OMG Thank you dude. That is exactly how I feel.

I did my research first too and have zero buyer's remorse with this phone. While it may not be as "intuitive" as other options out there, I run into no walls or restrictions that force me to change my life or purchase another device!

That's how *every* single consumer should be, instead of looking at all the flashy crap and being sucked in before they realize that nice pretty device they just bought can't do X Y or Z, but wow it can register two fingers!

Funny, I only need to give it one! :D

Re: PR1.3: users, was it worth the wait?

Actually, maybe you don't need 80 MB free space but only 55 like for PR 1.2. I never had this problem, so I don't really know.

Who said so ? You don't even need a computer to upgrade your phone.

Because you installed something from extras-devel or extras-testing and it's introduced a conflict. Open HAM, bring up the menu, and tap Log. Or tap update, and when it brings up the dialog with a "Details" button, tap it and check out the "Problems" tab.

Chances are it's libqt4-test or something that uses it, like has been pointed out repeatedly in other threads. Remove it (you may need to use the terminal) and the install should proceed normally.

apt-cache showpkg libgles1-sgx-img

It shows dependencies and reverse dependencies. I think this is what you need.

Open the terminal, type "root" or "sudo gainroot" (you'll need to have rootsh installed), then do:

apt-get remove libqt4-test

It'll take a few packages with it, but only a few.

I had this problem and the culprit was the braincandy game. Just uninstall it :)

or from terminal "root; apt-get remove libgles1-sgx-img"

For me I did an apt-get remove on the libgles package and it listed GLTron as the culprit. Easy choice for me to get rid of that to enable OTA upgrade.

Re: PR1.3: users, was it worth the wait?

I had to uninstall gltron and PythonQt to clear all the conflicts and update OTA.

Doesn't look like Tweak Flash Ver is working for me anymore, either...

Damn, I spoke too soon.
Uninstalled brainparty and couldn't update to 1.3 still because of libgles1-sgx-img so
I tried sudo gainroot, apt-get remove libgles1-sgx-img and got back:

E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11 Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?
/home/user #

Close the Application Manager.

Re: PR1.3: users, was it worth the wait?

To OP: Which wait? Imo, it was not worth the whining though.

Speaking of which I am eager to find out if the N900 has become more phone.

I was able to pick up a phone call while watching a movie and having a load of programs and complex web sites open. It took a while before call alarm started playing but it worked.
Any phone functionality critics still around to compare?

There was no wait, it didn't cost anything, has fixes and new features, so my answer is yes, you are a fat troll. Wait, what was the question again?

Re: PR1.3: users, was it worth the wait?

i felt little change in this up-date:
1)- Battery ( little bit got better )
2)- little bit fast when opening menu & browning bet.

Also noticed that, some application are not working when updated to PR1.3 such as:
1)- RAW View.
2)- Ntscaner, ( scanning your downloads via Wi-Fi )
3)- i dont know if any more there......

Hope to find a quick fix for these issues.

Other than that, nothing special.
tnx

I think this up-date is for developers more than for us. They will really enjoy it since it has the QT4.7 port & adapting MeeGo. So thery are the one who will really work on it & enjoy it.
