Anyway, this explains your problem. You have to install osso-software-version-rx44-unlocked |

Re: ANNOUNCE: Diablo-Turbo first beta available
Okay. I'm game for this. :)
Are the current files and instructions always on the first post? Also,I have a hacked /usr/share/X11/xkb/rules/base file Will that cause any problems? You guys are talking about rx-44 so that's why I thought to ask ahead. :) |

I before my last flash I had installed the microb tweaks package from the OLD DiabloTurbo thread by Tulio. It hosed my microB, but when I on top of it installed the webkit engine, I noticed incredible improvement. So I think it was useful, but by all means, don't stress it if I'm the only one. |

Is there something like /sys/power/op_list for op_dsp values? I don't want to display the 2/3 states for kernels that don't support them. |

Re: ANNOUNCE: Diablo-Turbo first beta available
maacruz
I am very sorry about all worries I've brought to you, the battery issue solved! Actually auouymous's advanced-systemui was leaking my battery very much, once I deleted it n810 became as usable as it was before installation! The thing is that I installed both Diablo turbo and advanced-systemui in a same day so i really didn't know what eats the energy. Today I had 6 lessons (80 minutes each one), spend it watching Simpsons (mplayer), playing wormux with table-mate and riding the civil and housing code (I study law) plus 30 minutes BT and Opera browsing and chat plus 2 hours of music (mplayer) and I still got 24% of battery. As good as it was! And I think I really found my device works slightly faster! |
Re: ANNOUNCE: Diablo-Turbo first beta available
UPDATE 1:
New updated packages to have all the latest improvements: kernel-dt-sd:
dt-init-scripts:
You can find the updated packages in the the garage downloads page (https://garage.maemo.org/frs/?group_id=2036), under the "Update 1" version title. Just download and install with dpkg. You'll need to reboot for the new kernel to take effect. |
Re: ANNOUNCE: Diablo-Turbo first beta available
I am getting this error with the latest update, first time installing the Turbo.
Code:
/etc/rc5.d/S31ramzswap -> ../init.d/ramzswap |
Re: ANNOUNCE: Diablo-Turbo first beta available
Ramzswap modules complain because at the time of installation the running kernel is the Diablo/Community SSU and not DT, they may be ignored. Once you reboot, they'll load correctly.
sysvinit hasn't been correctly installed, I can't see why, reinstall it with dpkg. If everything goes well, then reboot. |

If neither works, you don't need to fully reflash. Just initfs and kernel is enough. |

Re: ANNOUNCE: Diablo-Turbo first beta available
maacruz, Thank you very much. I installed the latest update and my N810 no longer has random touch screen events. It makes browsing the web so much nicer.

Just updated mine. Still works, looks like I have a speedy NIT again. Thanks maacruz!

Re: ANNOUNCE: Diablo-Turbo first beta available
Thank you very much, maacruz. I used it on my N800 and things are definitely snappier.
I only had one problem that I can think of (apart from having to update sysvinit only after everything else, it threw out a few errors): I had to reinstall mnotify (Gmail notifier) because there were some errors because of it in the notification area - using Telescope, BTW. Other than that, all is fine... apart from my ludicrous battery time. If anyone can point me to a good, solid, reliable battery - Mugen doesn't seem to make them anymore, is that right? - I'd be more than thankful. Cheers! |
Re: ANNOUNCE: Diablo-Turbo first beta available
I got one error that says errors were encountered while processing :
sysvinit_2.85-22.osso15-dt1_armel.deb. One More question: after I installed everything, I got a notification for the OS 2008 Community SSU to update, should I, or should I not? |

You get that message because you haven't installed osso-software-version-rx??-unlocked (where ??=34 for N800, 44 for N810, 48 for N810-wimax). apt-get install it to fix that problem. |
Re: ANNOUNCE: Diablo-Turbo first beta available
Naa, Kroll. The battery is old, battered, about to die. It's been through a lot, just that. Overall capacity is depleted!

Re: ANNOUNCE: Diablo-Turbo first beta available
I'm unable to reproduce the sysvinit installation error. If you have it, please paste here the xterm output.

Re: ANNOUNCE: Diablo-Turbo first beta available
hi, maacruz, thank you good work which make my N800 more useful again:).
here maybe i could give you some clue about the shutdown problem, i found: (1)when i push the hard poweroff button when i play it a while, my N800 will reboot, (2)sometimes ,if i poweroff(with the button) it immediately after launch, it will shutdown correctly. (3) i use xterm and type "sudo poweroff" command, it will shutdown correctly (4) in charging status, i use xterm and type "sudo poweroff" command, it will reboot. wish above will be some useful for you....
