i like windows phone 7,5 integration of everything

n9 has major flaws with built in stuff, like how come no voice control?

i have had black n9, blue n9 and was going to purchase white n9

i love the n9, my second favorite phone.

i tried the lumia 800 and it is exactly what i need. little to no hacking needs to be done to make the phone work for me.

i bet if you tried the lumia 800 you would also be impressed, i surely am not saying you would prefer over n9, but you would certainly be impressed.

My best friend works for Microsoft. He gave me a couple of windows phones. I liked using them, but it wasn't for me. I especially liked the dell venue pro, outside of the fact that dell mucked it up, it was a pleasure to use. But at the end of the day, it didn't *feel* right to me. So I went back to my n900 while I waited for the white N9.

the lumia 800 is the only windows device i have used

hardware is exceptional

heavier and feels more sturdy than n9

if you can, give lumia 800 a shot

Perhaps when the 900 comes out, I'll look at that, but the 800 is outclassed by the N9 in my estimation.

I have still not figured out how to replace Bing at the search button with something useful. It is a totally wasted space on the front of the Lumia's.

ROTFL! :D Have you ever tried the WP7 voice control? At least the german integration is except for some calls totally useless. And the Lumia 800 calls 2 out of 5 times the wrong person. So I prefer to have no voice control at the N9 than such a bad working service.

If I would want voice control I would buy a iPhone 4S for sure.

i feel like changing the housing of my black n9, but i'm not sure what colour to change to. would white be a good colour? honestly i think all the colours look nice >_<

any white owners share if you have encountered any problems with the glossy white housing? (eg fingerprints smudges..)

I saw the video on youtube of them taking apart the N9 housing. I kinda skipped through it. I wonder if it's really that easy. I wouldn't mind switching out housing. Would run no case all the time knowing I could change out housing so easily.

Oh yes, I'm impressed at how unintuitive and bad it is. Every time I use it.
E.g. just this evening I was impressed that I saw an alarm notification on the screen. I remember I set the alarm on it yesterday for the morning (just for fun, not to rely on), but I can't remember having heard any alarm from the Lumia this morning. Silent alarm, what an impressive feature on the Lumia! :)

I'd be wary of buying such a high value item from them. They have a pretty bad reputation. They are known for claiming to have items in stock when they do not.

Just ordered white N9, not sure what mad in is it, but excited to open the box and explore the device, my love for vanishing cell phones is not going away, coming from Pre3 to N9.

They appear to be. Ebay Power Seller with tons of great feedback. I would just make sure you pay with Paypal. I'm sorry, I just don't trust that old "we made a mistake and are actually out of stock, but we're going to take your payment anyway" tactic.

Ever-so-slightly off topic but kinda related to the above post:

My blue N9 silicon case has started to become dirty on the corners where I probably hold it mostly, and also how it sits in my (not-too-clean) pockets.

Does anybody know if they can be cleaned with, say, soapy warm water? I think I might just take the case off the N9 first though...

Got my white N9 today from overseas electronics. It is fecking BEAUTIFUL. It's made in Finland and running PR 1.1. Will post pics when I return home from work.

I 'toothbrushed'* it [my spouse's Magenta case]; rinsed it in lukewarm water; had to do the whole process twice; and it looks fresh/new.
U could give it a try.

It probably would go the dental way... if the 32s of Hollywood icons get tad yellowish over the run [what with the lesser mortals like u & me] - so could the Unicorn-N9!

Though, as long as u don't carry it to ur dining table -- it could give u a moon-lit smile for a long-long time...

My White iPhone3GS never got a speck, nor a slight discoloration till I switched to the iPhone4 last yr. So, I believe, the White-N9 would maintain its glory too!

Short answer: no, it's built by Nokia, not by Apple's hw manufacturer.

Long answer: that's the reason why it took so long to get into production with the white N9 according to Nokia. White is very problematic and required lots of research.
I've recently seen quite an old white N9 prototype and it still looked like new. I've seen no stains, even though this phone was in daily use for probably quite a long time.

Got white N9 made in Finland today morning, very sexy device for look and feel.

Paired with my bmw and wtf, no contacts showing, no call log nothing, my friend have 2 year old hd7 and it reads text message in same car. This is the best phone by nokia and they can't even have this done, i had n82 before and same thing, nokia did not even fix this from last 4 years.

Apart from this I'm loving every bit of this beast in white

Maybe you could fix it with last firmware, my swiss white was PR 1.0
