it has screwed my phone up. i tried installing it, a missing depedency was found. tried installing that too but downgrade was disallowed. now my phone is filled with app icons in red exclamation marks. no app works. terminal also doesn't work. pls help!!!

Re: Change your desktop background!
i'd recommend to go through the version numbers before installing. if yours is libmeegotouchextensions0_0.24.21-1+0m7 dont install the above file. you'll be left all icons being in red exclamation marks and no 3rd party apps working.

Re: Change your desktop background!
Ok so i did a reflash using flasher. My apps disappeared but my measages etc remained. After a few minutes the same red exclamation marks have reappeared.

Re: Change your desktop background!
Hi
I've found source of the problem. N9 and N950 have various packages in PR 1.2 . The first package I've built for N950 and I just built package for N9. Try it. Vlad. |
Re: Change your desktop background!
What's the path for background after I set it with Home Screen setting ?
At pr 1.1 was /usr/share/themes/blanco/meegotouch/images/backgrounds , now it misses from there . |

Re: Change your desktop background!
Thanks a lot for helping on that issue, according to you i just have to install & uninstall the .deb package without any rebooting or using the terminal ?? Ryt ?? Just to clarify , i didn't install the app which you had released just followed the steps mentioned in your blog with the 2 image files to be placed in the dowloads folder..... Sorry for bothering coz i just am scared that i myt end up spoiling my device without any expert advice ...And yeah , i had used your tweak only after updating to the latest firmware and still running the same PR 1.2.... Thanks again !

i tried to change the background of my N9 base on your method but failed :( can i ask you a few question? 1) may i know the version of ur N9? is it PR1.3? Can your method work on PR1.3, the latest update? 2) you mention 'open a terminal'. do u mean open the css file? 3) inside the css file, there's already whole chuck of code. Do i remove all the code inside and paste the code that you have given us? or i just paste below the existing code without removing it? Hope you can help me :o |
Re: Change your desktop background!

The N9QT method is only if you are not using Home screen settings app...Never use the N9QT method interchangeably with home screen settings... |
