By the way, you will notice the 'fresh' section is not working anyway more. I already fix it and will include in next update.

GagBook 0.8.2 released!

Changelog:
- Add website settings
- Fix Fresh section not working
- Add GIF section
- Add a stop button when downloading images

Notes:
- Website settings is the "Personalise 9GAG" settings that you can found at the website
- Website settings do not works for InfiniGAG
- The "Show NSFW Posts" setting has not effect currently (because 9GAG require you to sign in to view NSFW posts)

Hi all, out of nowhere I'm no longer able to download gifs, I've tried altering the settings in app, but none of them work. Is this just me? Or have 9gag changed something?

Yeah, 9GAG indeed changed something about GIF loading. I will provide a fix soon :)

By the way, there will be no new major features coming for GagBook while I working on Quickddit. (But will provide small bug fix like this one) :)

It seems 9gag have altered something again, gifs are once again not downloading for me, anyone else?

You are right, 9GAG changed some very minor things on the GIF (again), but I am able to fix this in 5 minutes :D

Updated to 0.8.4 for this fix.

Note that you should expect this app get broken a lot as it is not based on an official API, but keep posting here for any problem so I can notice it! :)

Why oh why do they keep changing, it was working fine. If it ain't broke, don't fix it obviously means nothing to them

Not sure anyone still using GagBook, but I will still post the update here :D

Updated to 0.9.0:

Remove website settings
Remove auto download GIFs setting
Still image (JPG) is downloaded for GIF post for preview
The actual GIF is only downloaded when clicked
Allow user to manually update 9GAG section via config file

Download from OpenRepos or just use WareHouse to automatically update ;)

How to manually update 9GAG section
9GAG will add/remove section (eg. 9gag.com/meme, 9gag.com/cosplay, etc) regularly, so I make the sections can be manually updated by user by editing the config file (in ~/.config/GagBook/GagBook.conf). In the config file you can find 1 line:

sections=hot, trending, fresh ...

Pretty self-explanatory, so you can edit it yourself :) For example 9GAG added a new section and the url is "9gag.com/animal", then just add

, animal

to the list. To restore to the default sections, just delete the whole line (or delete the whole config file). In the future, I may develop a UI for updating the sections, so user can edit the sections easier.

Not available on Warehouse proper, but it appeared on the updates list after I checked for updates inside Warehouse. Installing...

I made an account to enable nsfw images I enabled them in the account logged in but Gagbook still says it's not enabled.
