time developers could spent on more important stuff...

I'm not your property as a developer to order around and say what is useful and what isn't.

Number reduced because somebody attacked my server yesterday at 3 AM. I had to clean up the mess to its real numbers. That whole has been patched up.

Yes more updates are coming with more features and improved pinching and mapping.
I switched to cached OpenStreetMaps because they are better than Nokia Maps in QML.

Coming soon in 0.0.6. :)

There are few questions, though, that I did not find an answer in ths thread (even though I did try to read every post up carefully)

How do I exactly know which dot on the map represents myself? Could it be, for example colored differently from the others?
I kind of suspect my dot is placed in a wrong location, as I first activated "Connected" when I was at my workplace which is in the next city from where I live...
So is there a way to update my own location to where I REALLY want it to show it?
You say that the darker the dot is, more users registered to that city. The dot in Helsinki, Finland is really dark, but could there be for example a small number besides the dot indicating how many counts it represents?

I did understand next update solves this broblem. You can manualy edit Your data. Position and if You have changed Your phones color....

Thanks for making this, it really helps in the face of constant IOS and Android white noise to know that as a real Nokia user I'm not as alone as I feel. :)

Maybe Jolla could use this generated map as aid with their market penetration and expansion planning :-)

Although almost completely empty China doesn't look very promising in that respect...

That sounds strange because N9 gets quite a lot of love from China and quite a bit forum for it as well.

They should dont know have this apps

With version 0.0.5 you wont see your exact position. It is resolved by IP, so "your" point will be around center of the city you are in when used app for the first time.
With coming versions there will be option to use GPS, so you will see your exact location on map. Just give knobtviker some time :)

It's not working for me. The new profile page works, but the main map page endlessly loads and does not show ANY dots, not even mine.

The profile page GPS option works great. I'm in Houston, TX. :-(

I believe the server is down.

With this new version, I can change the location (GPS) but I don't see any dot on the map, the squircle is turning undefinitely.

Back to the previous version, I can see now the corrected location!

Jordi is right. Reinstalling ver. 0.0.5 shows the main map correctly with the GPS info that I input with ver. 0.0.6.

Hey;
I tried connected.
It worked the first time.
The second time, it did not load the map anymore.
Instead, it jizzed on my phone services, which meant that whilst I still saw my phone connected to the 3G network, I could not get nor make any phone calls.

Just a head's up.
Disinstalled for now.

You think I did not write this code from line 1 till the end on both client and server side? Please clarify with proper direct and precise answers.

P.S. Due to your license revelation to me, I decided to even remove OpenStreetMap plugin to avoid losing time on trolls. So, community can sincerely thank you for having a non-cached, tile loading, buggy Nokia Maps.

Asking to open source this project is very stupid, in my humble opinion. You would have protocols, access to my server, doors open to all my personal private data amongst else.

If anybody feels I'm violating any of their rights, all they need to do is ask politely to be removed and never use the application again.

Otherwise, stop wasting my time. I'm doing this for free, a few releases until chat options, exclusively for N9 owners. I gain absolutely no profit from this. Not a cent. Actually, 2 days ago server was attacked and I had to prove it was a DDoS or pay for it. So thanks. :)
