I upgraded the browser & rebooted. Seems like a significant improvement over the stock browser, aside from one thing; the cover occasionally disappears:

i think you should ask Sailfish browser maintainer in Jolla, coderus just build based on it

I didn't have cover problems with nightly and final build. Probably there are something also breaking your cover.
