I likelove poppy seed strudel. I work in a bakery that makes poppy seed strudel. I leave the bakery and the bakery stops making poppy seed strudel. In your logic, it means you see no reason for me to like poppy seed strudel any more.

Actually, you are. If you find that people "do not get you", the problem is more often than not in the way you express yourself.

Some further interesting finding regarding the distance of the top row of keyboard to the edge of screen.

N810: ~2mm (Wondering the comment from Endsor)
N900: ~3mm
N950 and E7: ~4mm
HTC Touch Pro 2: ~5mm when in flat, ~2mm when lift screen up
FX: ~3mm from the picture, ~4mm after improvement

Not sure how much Moto's slider leaves. I think between 3-4mm would be a good balance for comfortable use and a good look.

Nice to know the exact numbers!

To add one:
The Motorola Droid 4 has 3.5 mm.
Even with the 3mm of the N900 it is very comfortable to type.
(but less would be bad!)

These kind of changes are great and informative. But what does it mean in terms of a potential phone. Can you do changes like these and still deliver in Q1 or is it more like Q1 next year. What kind of changes must be done to get 1mm.

Body work must be done. Some basic tests maybe try out build test devices for production unit, release party and announcement.

Something have to go when you do changes. The result of the change might be great but at what cost? Thinner, weaker, delay, forcing other changes, durability....
