As annoying as it can be (I'm not a fan either), I think this is a good sign rather than a bad one. New people are coming in, getting interested, and talking about things. Now would be a good time to discuss ways to better integrate them into maemo.org, rather than giving them welcomes like that.

(Obviously, this is offtopic for this thread though)

Well yes, but you already stated the same within another thread, so I don't really see why there is a need to start a new one, with all the "shipping delayed" threads already around.

People are posting what shops tell them all the time. It's all meaningless.

If you get a dispatch notice and a tracking number then that's different. If you get one in your hands by all means post about it!

We're all interested but if you read back through the various threads you'll see various retailers have promised all sorts of things. The last think anyone wants is 5 new threads every day with what retailer X said that day.

If they do dispatch by next week then great!
