Re: Nokia has exciting news for N900 users
You can view the DNG files in FCamera itself (just swipe up on the viewfinder to get to the thumbnail viewer) - there's a zoom option there as well.
Or you can change it to save standard JPEG files in the extended settings screen (swipe down on the viewfinder to get there), and they'll be viewable in the normal photo viewer. |

ETalvala.. thanks for the great work on fcam for N900.
Do you know if there can be anything done about Titan's kernel? A lot of us here have that on and we frankly don't want to lose that but still want to experience and build upon fcam. I know you mentioned that you guys just discovered about titans kernel this morning but is this something that you can update for fcam so there won't be a conflict? |

I presume you rebooted after installation as the reboot loads the drivers |
Re: Nokia has exciting news for N900 users
you can't open the dng file directly on the n900. but as someone said earlier in the thread, if you drag the top of the fcamera window down, there is an option in there to save a jpg preview in the regular folder for pictures on the n900. you can then use the photos application to view the jpg.
however, do note that your original DNG file is still there. the jpg is just a "preview" of the DNG file. |
Re: Nokia has exciting news for N900 users
I see lots of posters on the forums complaining about lack of applications etc and then when something like this comes along they moan that it's not what they want!
It must make developers want to give up. If you have ideas for an app then make a request and see what comes out of it. Don't just sit back and moan. I'm not a developer and don't have a clue how to write an app for Fcam but anyone can see the huge potential for this. It is big news and the developers get a huge thanks from me for it. I would love to see apps to get full control over the camera. Control shutter speed Control aperture Time lapse photography trigger camera remotely |
