It's probably possible, but I wouldn't count on it. Are there packages for pocketsphinx for the n810?

@All:
As you may have noticed, there have been no updates to Saera in the last week. This was mainly because I borked my laptop's Linux installation and development was too much of a pain on OSX. However, I am reinstalling and hopefully will be adding new updates by tomorrow.

Yer I know what you mean.. It's an easy sdk to brake!
I can recommend the debian vmware image... Configure it to how you like it and the just make a copy and use the copy!!
When it brakes you have your good original... Saved me once!

Can't wait for it to be up on repos :D

Taixzo,

Did you resolve your issue uploading to extras yet? If not, have you attempted resubmitting the request for access recently? I submitted for it for one of my garages and got access within a couple days, so the system should be working at this point.

Finally got upload rights to extras-devel! Expect package in the repos tomorrow, it's too late tonight.

I can confirm it works from devel. :)

Although it used a fair amount of rootfs about 6%, I presume this is due to all it's dependencies? Anyway to slim it down a bit?

I know it's not in testing yet but it's worth noting, QA asks for less than 300 kb taken from root; more than 500kb is a blocker.

LMAO

Code:

Me - "What is the best thing about my N900"

Saera - "Nokia made the phone, the community did all the work"

Thanks, good catch. Saera is optified, but it has dependencies of Pocketsphinx, which is not. I made a script to optify Pocketsphinx, but I forgot to put that in postinstall - I will do that next version I upload.

Don't do it in post install. Do an optifying package as mine: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=84023

How do I make a package which doesn't have any files in it?

You do the dh7 short rules, don't include anything in *.install and so on. Use only changelog, control, postinst, rules, etc. Look at wrt-data-optify for practical example.
Code:

apt-get source wrt-data-optify
If you still have problems, let me know, I'll try to help you.
