Re: Jolla Sailfish Is stunning! Now on video!

So, i guess, n9s swipe ui is patented thats why they cannot do horizontal swiping to get to running apps view or launcher view. But then, horizontal swipes can take to another page of launcher icons or to additional pages of a running apps, like android or any other ui. If it's not also patented.

Or could launcher and "minimized" apps page be altogether combined, that would be even better, imho. Apps launcher icon (or tile) can behave as live preview and be of double size when app is running but minimized, for example. That would be coolio!

That would be the quickest to kill off Jolla.

Not really sure, why they target/focus on China.. makes it feel kinda cheap and is discriminatory!

It's probably the first and so far, only, major market where they've managed to sign up a distributor. It's all very well having a critically acclaimed product but if nobody is selling it then it's not going to bring in the money (808 Pureview, N9?)

Very bad. I want status bar all the time, or make it optional.

If it is done with a plan and some kind of vision for the future... it could work.
We should all want a healthy Nokia of the good old days taking Jolla under its wings.

It won't happen though. But I'm just saying.

China is the world largest smartphone marke and is growing a lot faster than Europe or USA. So you could ask why would some smartphone company not concentrate on China?
In 2-4 years doing great in Chinese smartphone market will alone be enough for any phone manufacturer. China Mobile alone has 654 million subs.

People over at Jolla have likely created ok connections on the Chinese market at their time on Nokia and can utilize it now in Jolla.
As kureyon mentioned they getting largest distributor in China to jump in is testament to that.

Yep, the future (present I might say) is China.

Next will be the African nations, Brasil, India, etc
huge populations

You could use the right-side peek feature to look at the notifications.

This and many other improvements (moving all menus into gestures) are very welcome additions, IMO.

What you wlll do with FullHD screen in the phone :D?? and i think 5" is more like a tablet, not a phone... 4" +/-0.1" is good and big battery!

I think, fist model not comes with hw keyboard, but 2nd will? Hope so.

Jolla has announced, that they try to get Jolla to make phones in Finand, Salo (Heart of Nokia) and Oulu, but fist phones is too expensive to make, so they starting from China. So we have some hope to make good phones again.
