Is a "Search artist" and "Search album" feature while playing a song coming in a future version? It's the only thing I miss in this client...

CuteSpotify has been renamed to CuteSpot:
Thus you will lose all your offline music, and have to reload everything.

It is recommended that you uninstall the old application and delete the following directory: "/home/nemo/.local/share/harbour-cutespotify" to free the previously used space

Furthermore, I think I finally fixed the startup crash, this time for real.

So what version am I looking for?
Following the link I see a 1.5.3-1 mentioned.
In Warehouse however I'm presented with version 1.5.2-1 although the description shown there mentions the renaming to CuteSpot and includes the 1.5.3-1 changelog.

Yes you are looking for 1.5.3-1, It seems you might need to download it via the browser as the name changed.

1. you search, find, and start playing a track
2. while playing you long press the album cover photo
3. a menu appears with the option "Search album" which shows all tracks on the album, and the option "Search artist" which takes you to the artist's Spotify discography

That's how the Harmattan Spotify client works… And the android one…

Search seems to be broken.
For example, I was looking for "Robbie Williams - It's Only Us", tried all kinds of combinations to find the music, but without success.

However, I could find it by searching for "Fifa songs" > playlist "FIFA SONGS 1998-2015" > 12th track of that playlist.

Seems like something isn't working right with the manual search results?

Got a request for CuteSpot. I would love to see the Bluetooth controls, that now work like a charm, were expanded with streaming track info via Bluetooth as well.

I love using CuteSpot in my car and the recent changes make it a lot saver to use, controlling the playback without touching the phone. But showing the track-info would be a great addition to it all.

Without any technical knowledge on this, I would assume that part of the work is already in place with the build-in support for e.g. "Lockscreen player controls" which also shows the track info.

I think Jolla is working at integrating mpris into QT, so it could be worth to wait for that to finnish to get it allowed in store too.

I created a small application for Spotify playlist management, SpotMan.

See the description on OpenRepos for explanation why a new app rather than expanding CuteSpot's functionality. It is using Spotify Web API, instead of the libspotify library.

I hope it will come handy to some.
