Plugged in to big screens etc

went after work last night, used one for about 20 minutes with one of the reps, a lot smaller than i was expecting (in a good way)

Asked the guy if he knew when they'd have them in and he said probably 2 weeks, but he doesn't have firm date

THink i will be swingin by again today ;-)

Think I'm gonna pop down there later!! They close late, right?

Received this message from a swedish cellphone dealer a week ago. Translated from swedish to english using google translate (i'm just lazy):

You have pre-booked a Nokia N900 with us at Katshing. Unfortunately, we have now learned that the N900 will not come to the Swedish market in 2009. Guess it will at the end of January 2010, but there is nothing that is confirmed. The mobile, which is very near, and now in storage, is the Nokia N97.

The difference between these two mobiles are:
N900 is Linux based which the N97 is not. N900 also has a slightly larger screen than the N97. By contrast, N97 is lighter and a bit thinner in the format. Read more about N97

If you feel that you want to switch product, please contact directly to me at 0346-570** or kundtjanst@katshing.se. If you select the N97, which is a bit more expensive than the N900, we will reduce the price to the level of N900.

hahah no problem, i was there yesterday at around 6.15pm, nokia guy was so helpful handing it over straight away, said he had been on it for last 4hrs straight and was amazed by it's performance

battery was about half gone but i figured first charge, maybe not even full, and on their wifi not bad, too many unknowns to make reasonable decision from it

Katshing just made a guess!

Most probably they have a stock of N97's that they would desperately wish to get rid of...

This is what I guess from the beginning of this confusion. It looks like no one wants to buy a N97.

NOKIA - the postp(h)one company

Maybe NOKIA skips the release of the N900 and announces a new device:

NOKIA N900 DNF Edition (Duke Nukem Forerver)

*** AVAILABLE SOON ON SELECTED PLANETS ***

Each Sudoku has a unique solution that can be reached logically without guessing.

Seppuku! not sudoku!

I can show you my feelings in haiku form: dedicated to the people of Nokia that are holding my N900 in the "warehouses of the North":

Sick on a journey -
Over parched fields
Dreams wander on.

From Wikipedia

Quote:

The most famous form of seppuku is also known as harakiri (腹切り, "cutting the belly") and is written with the same kanji as seppuku but in reverse order with an okurigana. In Japanese, the more formal seppuku, a Chinese on'yomi reading, is typically used in writing, while harakiri, a native kun'yomi reading, is used in speech.[1] Harakiri is the more common term in English.
