Re: PSX4ALL Working/Non Working games listed here.

tried:
psx4m
Gran turismo 1 - games runs well very good fps, but if u choose automatic gears (AT transmission) a bug occurs, it keeps changin N-R-N-R (if u use manual gears it works)
Ace Combat 3 - the airplane explodes in 5 seconds
Fighting Force 2 - games goes well first rooms, the crashes
Duke Nukem total meltdown - dont start

pcsx:
Gran turismo 1: works fine, but smooth 75% of original speed playable
Ace combat 3 - same as granturismo playable, but a little bit slow (75-80%)
Fighting force 2 - dont work
duke nuken neither.

sorry bad english

something i do that makes the games run a little bit faster is to increase priority of the emulator process
in terminal:
sudo gainroot
top (take note of emulator process number at first column)
q
renice -20 -p 'emulator process number'

Ok, my turn.

Working - no sound:
GTA 1 - well, at 850 mhz it works beautifully, I mean, Superspeed!
Metal Gear Solid - wont start the game, screen freezes.
Rollcage stage 2 - works on 2 maps only. Dunno why.
Star Wars Episode 1 - Jedi Power Battles (lol) works slow.
Gran Turismo - works perfectly
NFS 3 Hot Pursuit - works perfect.
VRally - works not bad, a bit slow despite 35 fps.
Destruction Derby - works perfect
Legasy of Kain - Soul Reaver - works not bad, a bit slow, but playable

Warhammer: Dark Omen - works well with psx4m+ hardware acceleration.
Sound must be enabled, movies and map not working good(works good on pcsx-rearmed but game is slow and doesn't look so nice)

Re: PSX4ALL Working/Non Working games listed here.

thx everyone for this thread, here is my contribution:

iphone 3g 16gig
psx4all on cydia, with scph7502.bin renamed to scph1001.bin

SpaceHulk: VtoBA
working on iphone 3g. 15 fps
voices tracks are absent, but SFX are good.
i know the voices are there, because it slows the fps to a crawl when the marines would be saying something.

Diablo
slow on iphone 3g, music gets caught in 5 second loops because of the slowness, but should work good on a faster phone. 'okay' with music turned off.

any help with sound compatibility for SpaceHulk would be appreciated. this game is listed as compatible with other emulators here: http://psx.silvanthalas.com/ntsc-u_current.html

cheers,
-z

In psx4m your chances of running any game smoothly is by using PCSX-ReArmed (bios enabled or disabled) not the Psx4m. and you have to OC, my ideal OC to run many games is @ 900 Mhz

hadn't come across 'reArmed', just psx4all, i'll do some reading.
i'm not sure what i can honestly expect from an iphone 3g, but it's worth a try.
