Is this strange?

Mine has since the last few days only gone up to 96%. When I first got it and charged it, it went up to 100% but now it's every time just 96.

I assume it's a battery calibration issue (i.e, the battery is actually at 100% but the gauge show's it wrong).

No, I wouldn't worry. Battery level cannot be measured, but are rather estimated, from measurement of voltage and internal resistance (itself derived from the measurement of the voltage drop as a function of the current drown from the battery...). Then those measured are compared with average values for this type of battery...

So this is no exact science, and those parameters (full charge voltage and internal resistance) can vary quite a lot from one battery to another, so that the battery gauge will sometimes give you this kind of numbers, even when the battery is fully charged.

They either said “cant install package” or took me to a page where all i saw were random numbers and letters, but strangely the progress bar at the top of the browser looked like it was downloading something. it got stuck though and i had to shut browser down. I will try installing via PC...hopefully it works! By the way, can firefox play flash videos?

you have to enable installation from outside the nokia store. Check your settings!

i had problems with that also at start, but after a few attempts you'll figure it out and then you'll notice that it's actually a very well planned cover.

hello there...the stock browser does not allow certain things to be downloaded especially if the file type is different then the os.
this is what happened to me.
so first of all enable the option to allow non store apps in settings.
then download the file to a pc and transfer it to the phone.
fennec nor opera supports flash...and both are buggy in my opinion..but u r free to try...opera has to be installed through x terminal after enabling developer mode...fennec can be install without much hastle....will find a link for it and post it here...

I posted these questions over at the big thread but they got lost in limbo. So I reiterate

I've got a question for N9/50 owners. Is it possible to do x-forwarding as a server? i.e. to show Harmattan apps on a linux box? N900 lacked this functionality.

Also does anyone know how multitouch is implemented? Standard multiple xinputs as in gnome or some closed source trickery?

No, still a very slim possibly, but looking extremely unlikely now.
There is a flash player "app" that the browser (IIRC) auto-switches to.
But no signed/licensed NPAPI plugin for Fennec (firefox mobile).

Oh and another question. How loud is the loudspeaker? Because I used a GS for some days now and I missed each and every call. Never happened with any of N95, N900, i8910 but they all have stereo speakers on the side of the phone (that don't get muffled in the pocket)

Where is the N9 speaker? How does the loudness compare to the N900?

It's not that great from everything I've read/watched...
I may be wrong but IIRC there's only one spkr at the base.

Somewhere here this guy did a comparo between it & the SGSII.
Some English reviews but mostly Arabic (spkr review was only Arabic I think) unfortunately.
SGSII clearly had way better volume, not sure about overall SQ.
That's a bit more subjective, esp. in an overly simplistic test like his.

Audio via headphones is much more competitive (if not superior) I suspect.
As evidenced by this review someone did in the sub-forum wk or so back.
