Intel has already said it will not support the Mir and will support Wayland.
Canonical does not represent anything close to the RedHat and RedHat also supports wayland.
Ubuntu is the worst distro I've used.

Do its users hide from the public because they are ashamed of using WP?
You see Android and iPhones here a lot, but WP? Nope, not a single one.
I wonder where those 10% market share come from?

It actually has been far more successful than Redhat in non-enterprise areas, & even catching up in enterprise, in some respects.
But, I hope nVidia/AMD also speak up about their support soon, & say that they're backing Wayland only, like Intel.
But IIRC, most detailed/well-reasoned speculation has been that they'll probably support both...

I wasn't there, but I know that Steve Wozniak spoke at that same event. I just assumed that those photos with early Apple stuff in them were somekind of Woz homage.

Just to clarify: I only saw the pictures, it isn't surprising that Marc is quoting Apple here and there, everybody does these days.

EDIT: they have a recording (not yet released), stay tuned.

Multitasking, scripting, sideloading, no direct link to NSA, USB MS, bluetooth file transfer(?), microSDHC, large user replaceable battery, cost, style, ...

But Mr iPhone is not a rational being so it doesn't matter how many ways the Jolla is superior Mr iPhone will refuse point blank to see it.

That's a great blog, thanks for the link. It's interesting that the pulley menu was invented before mid-2011, and we must assume Jolla will licence it from Nokia.

No, I have a better idea. THEY CAN'T HAVE IT. Let's use Cartman's marketing strategy.

Mr/Ms iPhone (to someone sporting a Jolla): Oh. that's a nice phone, what is it?
Jolla user: It's a Jolla, but never mind, you can't have one.
iPhone: What do you mean I can't have one?!
Jolla: Nope, you can't have one. It isn't for you.
i: But... but... I have money.
J: Good for you, you still can't have one.

They'll want one. No matter what brings to the table, they just can't have one and they'll want one just because of that.
