What kind of version of Android will it use. Official, black market, hack?

Or will it have any official or community updates?

It will have out of the box: Android 9 (Google Certified) with Google apps and stock as possible.
But the bootloader is unlockable so you can flash whatever you want.

As sad as it is: Not for the "normal" user.
They expect Gmail and Play Store and Google Maps and the device has to sell.

An unlocked bootloader will make it very easy to install Lineage OS without GApps.

I have bought two android phones from China and there is no Google play there, I think it's illegal there?

They need to be certified. If they aren't, they can't put Google Play on it.
