Two new packages in -devel; I hope these ones are -testing ready!

The top menu bar should look right now. The battery icon doesn't work, so I took it out... I also fixed a little bug in the closechroot script. I think they're good to go, but I'll wait to hear from you guys this time.

Can we use the old image or do we need to download it again? And by old I mean an unexpanded copy of the old image that I stored in order to avoid downloading it multiple times every time I mess something up. :D

I created a fairly complex document with multiple fonts and tables, saved it, converted it to PDF... and it was a nice experience!

Qole, it must be something on the Maemo side, not on the debian side. I've retested your original rootfs, without any updating-upgrading, and Openoffice is quick. So, it's not the debian code. It's something in the upgrade of Maemo.

debernardis: but why was my openoffice slow until after the Debian update? I am so mystified.

rm42: Don't download any new image! I won't have a new image for a while yet...

andyph666: I think that green bar is wifi signal strength...

Now what's needed is some guy with too much free time. He(she) should install first the *old* Maemo firmware and test easy debian plus openoffice, then zap altogether the device, install the latest firmware and see again if performance are better.

Quite a good pastime on pool's edge in a Mexican resort in a sunny day :D

OK and one thing I'd like was a new icon for closechroot, different from that of lxde debian

debernardis: flashing firmware is not going to happen (not bringing a laptop), but Gimp is working nicely -- I'll make some new icons. (I need a few).

I know this might be a stupid question but... Is it possible to install any app that works under debian?

Just dropping to say that all is well with the new version! Thanks qole!

On a side note I have installed some dictionaries for OOO running it from the new OOO icon. When I run OOO from LXDE though, the dictionaries do not appear under the extension manager (still all well from the OOO icon). Why is that?

At first everything went ok and the I had to reflash the phone becouse aproblem with an other app. Now I can't see gimp and the screen in debian lxde does't have the menu icon which it had previously in the upper left corner. I've been deleting some files with Midnigt Commander so maybe I ought to reflash the 32gb partition to and install everything again? But if so I don't know how to do it. I'm a complet newbie in this so please be patient;) What to do now?
