I think so, it may well be even quicker for mpd etc but they are playing safe, incase people stab them or petrol bomb their homes, some crazy folks out there.

I called MPD yesterday. It seems Nokia release on Monday (9th)- MPD expect to recieve delivery on the 16th and then ship out to us on 17th- which means if you ordered express you should have it on the 18th. (but don't quote me!! LOL)

I just came from the Nokia Store on Regent Street. They told me that:

* staff training is on 16 November
* they expect to start selling on the 17th of November
* they have a TWO WEEK exlusive in the UK, and that other retailers will not have it until the beginning of December.

They are taking 100 pre-orders in store. I just got number 99.

The 9th is most likely the date for preorders to ship. This has been covered earlier in the thread, I think.

I don't think that they will answer, but I believe that they read it and take care of it.

That's really dumb. Another Nokia release where customers don't understand why it's available in some places but not others. They'll have to buy it on ebay at a premium.

That's just what I would expect from a trader that knows you don't want to wait longer. I can't believe that. Nokia must sell as many devices as possible. And they must not make their resellers angry.

Honestly I don't think they care... this N900 release has been bungled for sure. btw, Droid hits today? seems like they've plastered ads across half the web.

I went to the store, had a play around with it and the staff told me it would be on sale within 2 weeks.. She seemed pretty knowledgeable too.. She told me about the 17th (N900 meetup)

Has Nokia published the rumored "Wish List" that was handed in by the 300 testers?

Wondered if it includes ICQ support for the conversations application amongst other things that would make the whole thing worth the wait.
