I donīt think that is just Amazon. This is a offer straight from Nokia so it should apply to all sold in the US.

The small print does not specify Amazon.com but just phones sold in the US from today and until new years.

Does pre-sale mean the date that your invoice is issued and phone is shipped and charged. Or the day you originally posted the order?

Howdy, just registered to reply to u.
According to Newegg Customer rep, anyone who placed an order (means when your preoreder converts to order) gets a 50$ VISA card. So basically we all covered.

We'll all covered IF they convert the pre-order to an order by the end of the year. After that the rebate offer expires.

Re: N900 shipping delayed

I was using my iPod Touch in bed last night and realised how limited it really is. Forum pages fit on the screen nicely but the dpi is just that bit too low to make reading easy, could probably handle slightly less zoom on the N900 so a lot of pages would fit on the screen fine. Then there is the whole "gotta close Safari to switch playlists" or "gotta close Safari to open the Twitter app", I realised just how slow it all is.

Ironically I think Safari IS supposed to multitask and clearly iPod mode does, but its just as slow as switched between apps which don't continue to run in the background. Now maybe not if I had a iTouch 3G with the same specs as the N900 but its a mute point, I ordered the damn N900 so for the little sanity I have left PLEASE let it arrive this week. I can't make a typo with the on screen keyboard and have to wipe it and start again (due to no back button and lack of stylus to precisely position the cursor) one more time, its driving me insane(r).

I will miss the whole music browsing and Genius system of the iTouch, but it will more than be made up by easier copying music onto the device (straight from the web browser) and the fact I wont be carrying two devices around with me all the time. Not to mention all the other benefits I do not need to list, you know what you are.
