He didn't set a price point, so get some model, those are the most expensive hookers around. :D

I created new thread for problems, jokes, etc. Lets leave this one for developers only.

Thanks

So I did install KP49 today (image from the morning):
Code:

# uname -a
Linux asN900 2.6.28.10-power49 #1 PREEMPT Thu Oct 6 14:28:39 CEST 2011 armv7l unknown

I copy bridgedriver.ko again from 720p.zip (freshly downloaded from first post)
Code:

# cksum /lib/modules/2.6.28.10-power49/bridgedriver.ko
216561104 190920 /lib/modules/2.6.28.10-power49/bridgedriver.ko

I'm using this config for the kernel:
Code:

# kernel-config show
current kernel configuration:
current frequency: 750
supported frequencies: 125 250 500 550 600 700 750 805 850 900 950 1000 1100 1150
min. frequency: 500
max. frequency: 750
avoid frequencies: 125 250
active frequencies: 0:25,90 500:49,500 550:51,600 600:51,600 700:51,600 750:51,600 805:51,600 850:51,600 900:53,600 950:54,500 1000:60,500 1100:72,520 1150:72,520
SmartReflex VDD1=1, VDD2=1
governor ondemand: ignore nice load= 0, up threshold= 85, sampling rate= 150000, powersave bias= 0

I uninstall (reinstall default) mafw-gst-renderer and mafw-gst-subtitles-renderer:
Code:

apt-get --reinstall install mafw-gst-renderer
apt-get --reinstall install mafw-gst-subtitles-renderer

Now can play 720p content using mplayer, but internal media player gives me unsupported file error. Is this expected or internal media player should also work? It was working with after update from 28 Sep, although not so smooth, mplayer was far better.

EDIT: looks like I cannot play anything with internal media player. So I answer my question, this is not normal. Is it related with mafw-gst-renderer? Any suggestions how to fix it?

Re: [HOWTO]Watch 720p videos on n900

mplayer can play 720p videos in software without kernel-power or freemangordon's HOWTO. You need overclocking to play them with any speed, but I believe mplayer is doing pure software decoding on n900.

Re: [HOWTO]Watch 720p videos on n900

No! mplayer will complain on the n900 that the resolution exceed allowable limits and will not play 720p movies without the hack...

I followed the tutorial steps again and nothing. Displays the frame when displaying video list but when trying to play anyone tells me:
"Can not play media files. multimedia file format not supported"

If I use OMP tells me, basically the same:
"Unable to play media. Unsupported media"

Re: [HOWTO]Watch 720p videos on n900

Using mplayer I can play videos but the "1280x720_test.avi" no.

Mplayer tells me that the highest possible resolution is 1024x768
