since upgrading, when i click on a contact to msg, i am greeted with a dialog box that asks which contact to call. both have the same number, one has the away yellow circle, the other nothing. this was present on the last version i had as well. seems like it is caching the contacts twice (if that makes sense)

Sorry if this is obvious to some users but: I'm still a little bit unsure of how to use TOR, more specifically: the relationship w/ the contacts.

Am I supposed to see Google Voice contacts in the Contacts ?
Currently if I choose the GV group it's empty.
Should I see GV number in a contact as here:
https://bugs.maemo.org/attachment.cgi?id=2280 ?
How can I achieve that ?

I have "Use Gv Contacts" enabled in the plugin's Advanced Settings.
I am aware that currently TOR doesn't integrate w/ the System Contacts.

When GV contacts are enabled you should see them in the GV group. I'm unsure where you got that screenshot from so unsure what to see about getting it since that is the infamous "No Integration with System Contacts" but.

Could you PM me a copy of your log so I can investigate why you aren't getting GV contacts?

I actually have it got it to work: I deleted the GV login, removed the ~/.telepathy-theonering and logged in again.
And suddenly GV contacts appeared!

I've now uploaded 0.8.5 to the autobuilder.

• Bugfix: User's locale differs from google's causes errors
• Bugfix: Reducing the times we ignore the cache of past conversations
• Bugfix: The One Ring does not work on desktop systems with Empathy 2.28

NOTE: I made an incompatible change between version. I recommend deleting your old account before upgrading and then recreating it.

Note: I think 0.8.5 is broken when run on Maemo 5. More investigation is coming.

I installed 0.8.5 this morning on my N900. Had to delete/recreate my account. Contacts show up, haven't had a chance to text. Calling works fine via Gizmo. I just direct dialed by choosing TOR from call type. Had to add a "1" in front of the number. Area code plus number showed busy.

Anything specific you'd like me to try?
