Actually, what they promised was:

There's quite a difference between "some definitive statement" and "the first release".

Maybe jolla learned from the refund mess and are now mange the expectation by downplaying the situation and then BOOM in June. Buy an X worldwide with fully working Sail and to top it off tablet buyers can choose a discount or a refund. A reverse scam :D

No, that changed at some point, cannot remember the version though.
I have a 1st one, and if I factory reset it doesn't go to 1.0.0

Have you sent your device in for repair at some point? Because if the device has been reflashed that's the version it'll revert to upon reset.

No, I have never needed any repairs with my device.

I think it is probably the most robust phone I have had, it's quickly approaching the 4-year mark this autumn and still going strong. This despite the first impressions of the build quality :D

I'm with the original battery and still have fairly good stats on it, I can easily go through a day on normal use and 2 days if using it sparingly; for really heavy use like doing spotify/radio and GPS tracking simultaneously while bicycling the battery lasts just and just my 2,5 hour ride between home&work.
(It used to last that and more easily last summer, so that's a sign of battery getting worn out)

That's one way if there is strong wind to go against. (which it is on most days, bummer...)
On a good tailwind day it is less than two hours :D
