Re: [v0.8.0] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

Cannot connect anymore. Sent a logfile.
Installed new version couple of days ago. Maybe old version was still running at the time, can't remember. Today I started the app, saw the Whatsapp login screen flash by. Mitakuuluu shows the Chats screen, which are all visible and I can get into their details. The upper line status keeps saying Connecting... Authenticating... Disconnected.
I think I had a 1 year still on my subscription. That info is not to be seen now. Payment screen for subscription seems available.

Have you tried quitting and restarting the app? I had the same issue a day or two ago and restarting seemed to fix it. I also had it yesterday, but then it fixed itself after a couple of minutes.

delete /home/nemo/.config/coderus/mitakuuluu2.conf and register again

inte 2014-06-23 12:13

100% CPU usage?

I noticed Mitakuuluu is often draining the battery with a 100% CPU load.
When I quit the App and restart again, CPU usage remains to be normal, but not for too long.
It could be related to switching between WIFI and cellular networks, but I haven't figured out that for sure.
Is that a known bug or something new? (sorry I haven't read the entire thread since it is a bit... long).
Thanks,

Chris

happened to me a few times.. probably it related to internet connection jumps (wifi<->3G)...

Re: [v0.8.0] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

After the SailfishOS update 1.7.0.18 two weeks ago I experienced a drain once, quite possible that it was connection related. No Mitakuuluu for a night and after that no more battery drain.

With a functioning networking connection - ssh to the jolla, Mitakuuluu doesn't sent a message straight away; bug filed: https://github.com/CODeRUS/mitakuuluu2/issues/155

I have experienced this behaviour several times.

BUGS!
No drain here, but I cannot use voice messages, because about 50% of the incoming ones doesn't play. It looks like they'd be downloaded fast, but just doesn't play. The play/stop icon changes, but no sound.

Hi

When I'm included in a group chat with people I don't have their phone numbers they get automatically added to my contact list. Is there any option to avoid this? If not, I would like to ask for it.

Thanks,

It's a SailfishOS bug that you are unable to play acc files which are shorter than 6sec.

It may be desirable to be able to receive messages from unknown contacts, but without having those contacts added to the contact list (splitting those up into different options).

I have the receive messages from unknown contacts off, but I still have the unknown numbers in my view after being in a group with them.

Also, I just noticed all my groups are shown as "online", is this new?

...aaand today Mitakuuluu is disconnecting quite a lot. (Am on wifi) Maybe a temporary problem.

Watchmaker: if you want to receive messages from unknown contacts you need to add them. Messages can't be saved to "nowhere" ;)

Re: [v0.8.0] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

high battery drain, with latest 1.0.7.16 update while charging the phone harbour-mitakuulluu starts using lots of CPU cycles, >170% and phone gets hot. Disconnecting and Quit Mitakuuluu battery consumption goes back to normal levels.

Is there something wrong with my app settings, this type of behaviour is triggered when phone is on charge, but not all the times.

If contacts=conversations, yes, you're absolutely right. I can receive an sms sent from an unknown number without this number being added to my phonebook, though :p

2 days ago at 19:38:48 my jolla started after a reboot I give because of WiFi connection issues. I didn't opened Mitakuuluu straight away because it is set to autostart.

Within 3 hours the battery started draining fast and Lighthouse showed this :( :

After a night off, Mitakuuluu doesn't drain the battery.

You said that it happens just with bad connection. But today happened me two times, one while perfectly connected with 2G and the other one with bad connection so some disconnections..

We trust in your magic powers Coderus ;)

Wow, haven't been online on TMO in like forever! Acquired a Jolla yesterday and have been setting it up ever since :) Just wanted to drop by this thread and show my appreciation to the awesome work that coderus is doing!

Keep up the great work man!

I sent you a small donation via paypal earlier today, and I hope everyone else does as well!

It's good to be back on TMO :)

Re: [v0.8.0] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

I would like to thank Coderus one more, final, time. Mitakuuluu was one of the best things about my Jolla and the reason why I held on to it so long. That time is over now. I got tired of the completely unstable connectivity, the sometimes problematic android emulation, the random shutdowns and reboots. I need a phone that works as it should, and the Jolla is just not for me. That, and one of the main reasons for buying it was the hope for a HW keyboard, but by now I am so used to the touchscreen typing that it doesn't really matter anymore.

Thanks all of you for a good time, but I'll be in the Android camp now.

Think about trading your device to some developer with discount :)

Re: [v0.8.0] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

Thank you Coderus for Mitakuuluu. I have been using this since the time I managed to buy a Jolla since Feb 2014. I have always updated to the newest version of mitakuuluu. However, ever since I have updated to the latest version I have been having registration issues. Yesterday all of a sudden I was asked to register again and when I do, it says that it has failed to receive code and that I have to try again after one hour. no matter what I do, this happens again. I have tried deleting the /home/nemo/.config/coderus/mitakuuluu2.conf and still same issue. So I uninstalled Mitakuuluu and installed the official android app, I was able to register myself. Then I installed Mitakuuluu again and it said that it was importing the android contacts and I was able to use Mitakuuluu again. but today again, I have been logged out and asked to register again. I am not a developer, so kindly help me. if there is any vital information that I have missed out, please let me know and I will try to provide it. (I have updated to the latest Saapunki update of Sailfish and I am from India)

meet.vino, I'm having the same issue sometimes, but I didn't have to reinstall mitäkuuluu! I still don't know the reason exactly.

Re: [v0.8.0] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

hi all
i looked at my phone today and noticed that all apps were closed.. was probably one of these random reboots. but now the strange thing: if i open mitakuuluu it says to re-register again.. did this and everything works fine. but after a new restart i have to register again. seems like the config is messed up :(
has anybody else this problem? and how can i fix it?

Re: [v0.8.0] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

just don't let lipstick to crash or restart. it is the reason of loosing settings :)

d0n_Egg1 2014-07-03 06:12

Re: [v0.8.0] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

okay, interesting...
i've deleted whole mitakuuluu stuff and restarted phone. registered again and everything works fine again ;)
what's that lipstick for? and why causes that thing mitakuuluu to lose it's config?

EDIT: nevermind, found answer on github page ;)

I accidentally deleted a group. How do I get it back?

I tried to get it back by letting me remove and add to the group. I got notified of the removal, can answer than. But when I look at al chats I don't see the group. What can I do?

Found it! I restored mitakuuluu2.conf from an earlier backup.

I've noticed the location feature is not working here anymore, it's happening on this new build and the previous one after the 1.0.8.19 update. Does anyone else has noticed this?

Thanks,

Thanks,

Yes, 4Sail crashes on refresh and Jolla updated their own Maps app today 'cause location wasn't working.

I see nothing new in 0.8.1. I suppose it's about bugs correction. It's working. I will report if something happens.
