I couldn't see this anywhere - Will easy Debian install on Chinook or is it Diablo only?

I'd love to, but I disabled extras-devel so I wouldn't be downloading other broken updates (canola & numpty physics to name two). I guess I could dive in, install this update, then dive out again. Will that break anything?

As well, what happens to my current setup when I upgrade?

Please, grog, "dive in, install this update and dive out"

looplog:This app is only in the Diablo repository, but theoretically, it should work in Chinook as well. You can try installing with this .deb. (BETA TESTERS, don't use this one! I need to know if the Extras-Devel version works OK)

The package installs fine on my tablet, and unless someone can find something wrong, I'm going to go ahead and promote to extras...

Re: ANNOUNCE: Easy Debian Turbo-Charged Edition!

OK folks. New version in the Extras repository. Lots of little bug fixes.
  • You should be able to install it alongside Deblet and Abiword now with no conflicts.
  • The "Close Debian" should completely close the turbo loop, so you can safely move or delete your image file without trashing your SD card.
  • Easy Debian plays well with the very cool DBus Switchboard now, so you can open Word docs or PowerPoint slideshows that you get as e-mail attachments, as well as run Java applets by clicking on them in your browser (you have to click on a Java Web Start .jnlp or Java .jar file).
And lots of other little stuff to make things subtly nicer.

Hi!

A little problem: after removing the old easy-deb-chroot, rebooting, removing the image, I have installed the new version 0.9.11 and again the image... reboot... but now doesn't work anything...

Can You help me?

Thanks in advance!

I did the 'dive-in-out' last night but didn't get a chance to try it 'til now Even after a reboot nothing will run. The Debian chroot window will come up, but just a whole lot of errors flash by before it closes (what's the command line to run it? I'd like to try to trap the errors). Do we need to use the image installer & download a new image as well? I did not (yet). tx

No, your existing image is fine, if you've got one. I guess I'd better figure out what to do about that message to make it clearer.

As for your errors, you need to reboot, open up a terminal, and type:

Code:

sudo debian
and post the errors here.
