Re: N900 MODs - share your MODs!!

Hi everyone

I posted early this week saying I was working on a Customization Wiki page based upon the posts here.

I have managed to create a framework and a lot of details but it still needs more work. Unfortunately circumstances mean i am not able to work on it for at least a week so i am posting here for anyone interested in updating it.

This allows you to get shortcuts closer together, while still looking nice and not interfering with one another. I've also attached two shortcut tile backgrounds I made by modding the original background tile from the default theme, along with the circuit board wallpaper if you would like to use it. I just copy the tile I want to the relevant theme images directory and overwrite the existing file (after making a backup):
/user/share/themes/YOURTHEME/images/ApplicationShorcutApplet.png
One tile in the .zip is the transparent tile, while the other is a simple wire frame with a transparent center.
After replacing the existing ApplicationShortcutApplet.png, just reboot or switch to a different theme and then back to see the changes.

If you include instuctions in your zip, it would help for future restorations

i can't think about anything hardware specific that would be worth changing/adding.

and... mhm... everyone who tinkers on a 599€-phone (imho) has too much money or lives the "no risk, no fun" way ;)
