I installed it w/o reading here first. Wouldn't connect. Checked the account, it asked for a name and password to save, put in password, saved still wouldn't connect. After further review, name field was blank, not editable. So I un-installed, deleted ~/.theonering folder, re-installed. Still came up with same account info (no name/not editable, needed password). Hit "delete" from edit screen. Added a new account, selected Google Voice, put in name/password, created no problem. I've also gone back in and changed settings as well. Anything I can do to help? I have Pidgin Extras 2.6.6-1nix0 and Pidgin Protocols 0.8 installed. |

epage,
per your instuctions to delete account first before upgrading to latest build... followed and able to recreate login and make calls without any problems. not sure the difference with yours. |

Re: [Announce] The One Ring
A reboot fixed it for me. I've now got it running on my n900 in addition to my n810

Re: [Announce] The One Ring
I'm surprised a reboot wasn't the first thing you tried.

Re: [Announce] The One Ring
I hve two bugs open related to connection issues:
For the random disconnects https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9514 For disconnects not being recoverable https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9482 (yes this was fixed for most people, don't have enough info for why it wasn't fixed in this case) If you've experienced disconnects since the last upgrade could you please attach a copy of the log (~/.telepathy-theonering/theonering.log) to the following bug https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9514 (I saw since upgrade because TOR deletes the log on upgrade) I want to get a lo of information on this to help narrow down what I or Nokia is doing wrong. |
Re: [Announce] The One Ring
I seem to be having issues with my AIM account since upgrading. my contacts don't seem to be showing on-line/offline correctly anymore. It might be totally unrelated but seems pretty coincidental

Re: [Announce] The One Ring
Ed, I might have found a weird bug.
I used to get unrecoverable Network Errors when I switched wifi networks. Now I I still get a Network Error, but it almost always goes away if I select TOR and without changes click save. Every once in a while I do this workaround and TOR refuses to reconnect. And it doesn't fail after some time- it fails the instant I click save - it never attempts to connect. Every single time this has happened I checked the advanced settings to find that all the settings are either garbage (big negative numbers) or completely blank. Not zeros, just a blank slate. Even the "Use GV contacts" is unchecked. If I reset these fields to decent values, it starts working again. The problem I have is that those value should not have changed in the first place. I don't have a reliable way of reproducing this. |

http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...&postcount=356 I sure hope something is in the log. If not it would be dbus logs I'd need to see which are too chatty to record unless you can get consistent reproductions |
