Its even being shown on BBC news this morning that shows what a complete c*ck up they have made.

They are virtually unusable for many use cases.

As a hobbyist iPhone developer we have had to disable many of the satellite mapping services in our apps as the new views are either completely unusable or even non-existant on iPhone 5.

We are already in the process of porting the apps to Android where the satellite views are near perfect at a useful resolution.

At no point would we consider porting our apps to WPx and nothing you have contributed has helped that decision process.

enjoy

This is a stock thread. Stop polluting it with non-sense. Who cares if you will develop for who. Are you developing for Harmattan? Meego? Weego? Jolla? Of course not. So get lost

Touch a nerve did I Lumiatroll?

I seem to see that mine was merely a response to your obvious trolling.

As I said to you once before if you bring nothing intelligent to the forum, perhaps you shouldn't be here?

Also I don't believe I was rude to you so please don't be rude in return.

I also note, by your own admission, that despite the complete washout iPhone 5 is, it is still outselling anything Nokia/WPx has to bring to the table,

Who knew!

I believe that is directly on topic as far as potential impact on Nokia stock price is concerned unlike your other comments.

iPhone 5 is outselling Nokia Taliban phones too. it will outsell everything under the son given their products and idiot proof iOS. Only WP8 offers idiot proof phones for Nokia. Everything else Nokia has is way too complicated and most people don't want to waste time modding , patching , or xterming. So it's WP or Android, which I find inferior in many ways to iOS OR WP.

The only nerve you hit was your last remaining neuron. Treat it well, or you may lose it too.

Re: Let's talk Nokia stock. Really.

Nokia maps may be better but just stating something as a fact doesn't make it so however for my use case I am not too concerned with the map quality, it is the satellite image quality I care about.

Also I too hope the Jolla project achieves its goals and I will be watching it very closely over the coming months.

Personally I object to manufacturers trying to cater only for users like Lumiaman in the pursuit of their money by spoon feeding them services on locked down devices but if that is what they need to feel comfortable then each to their own.

I, however chose an N900 specifically because I support OpenSource goals and am quite comfortable using my time "modding , patching , or xterming" if I choose and I want a device that I can make work how I wish not how Google or Apple dictate, Apple maps locked into IOS is a perfect example of all that is wrong with closed source.
