If Nokia was ready to ship next week, we would hear about it some way already. They probably will say nothing until they get the green light to start boxing and shipping.

This will be a soft start, so they will probably ship as pallets are filled. This means (excluding shipment terms you picked), some people will get their phones at least a week before others.

The next mega thread will then be "I ordered mine a month before everyone but they have theirs and I don't".

Well that never happened with the n97 :(
Why would nokia online store give us a date (9/11/09) when they have never bothered before .

I thought they were the same thing. Don't MPD run Nokia retail? How is this different from Nokia UK? I'm pretty sure that they claimed somewhere on their website that they would be the first to get N900s in the country and to dispatch (I can't damn well find the webpage, but they definitely said it).

Just dumped Nokia going with NewEgg.

I wanted to tell Nokia why but I didn't speak the same language as the person taking the call.

Instead I will btich to you thee reader.

1) Nokia didn't tell us the nature of the delays. I'm ok with it being delayed, just send me an email
2) I feel insulted that they would sell it to newegg cheaper than to their own customers
3) price -$150

There are several people in the slickdeals forum saying they got a call from Dell and their orders are shipping Monday. I was lucky enough to snag a Dell order, but I haven't received a call... I wouldn't think Dell would have phones before Newegg... hmm :confused:

There are some hilarious posts by some Microsoft Technology Evangelists trying to pass as regular users on that forum. Microsoft must really be desperate. I almost feel sorry for them. (Almost. ;)) Here is a sample:

I just got a call from a Dell guy to verify my address/card info for shipping. I asked him "so can I still expect it by Dec. 10" and he replied adimently that no, it would be shipping in 3-5 business days. I don't especially believe this so...Drink!
