Can youy video call these contacts form your desktop? I'd have thought you would only get the video call option if the contact has (or at least has had?) a video device enabled on some computer they've used to skype. The echotest "contact" on desktop skype doesn't have a video call option as it hasn't got a video device. I don't know this for sure (I only have 2 skype contacts!) but it would make sense for skype not to offer video call to contats which it knows can't support it?

i haven't noticed any fast draining.. im using the device like before and battery life seems the same to me..

actually using skype from n900 i wasnt able to videocall contacts that have webcam enabled..but i was able to videocall em using gtalk.. but with skype i was able to videocall ppl who does not hav webcams.. i'm thinking this thing is completly random lol

HOWTO: Fix GSM after leaked 1.2 to 1.1.1 downgrade
 
Mods please sticky this. A lot of people are wasting their time trying different methods that don't work. You can't downgrade fully, you need the cellular modem files from 1.2 for GSM to work.

Use this at your own risk as this creates a "frankenbuild". You will still need the leaked 1.2 image file for future flashing if the cellular modem files aren't updated in the final version of PR1.2.


1. Flash back to 1.1.1 (Use your country specific firmware)

Code:
flasher-3.5 -F RX-51_2009SE_3.2010.02-8_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -f -R
2. Run the following command and replace RX-51_blahblahblah_ARM.bin with the 1.2 image name.

Code:
flasher-3.5 -F RX-51_blahblahblah_ARM.bin --flash-only cmt-mcusw -f -R

And if someone has a better method, please enlighten us. This thread should stay open and split at the point someone else figures out how to use 1.1.1 fully without any 1.2 files (good luck)

HELP Downgrade i need RADIO FILES
 
i cant reflash i need a deb file or the pr 1.2 leaked radio files please help me! i cant download 160+ megabytes i'm in gprs and its too slow.

The radio files are part of the 1.2 firmware leak. Since the leak shouldn't be distributed, neither should the modem files.
Why do you need the 1.2 files though...

i made a downgrade... i lost the pr 1.2 leaked, and now the cellular modem doesnt work
