I'm using black winter day theme and that's the default icon. I haven't changed anything on the status bar (yet!), so the menu icon, battery etc are all BWD standard.

Maybe he is talking about the widget called "battery" :)

@Kulas, it's called 'battery' and is in the devels repo. If you don't have devels enabled, that widget has caused me no problems at all, seems perfectly stable.

Just a slight change, shrunk the connectnow widgets to minimum size, changed the background image because, well, sometimes it's just nicer to look at a bright background. Changed the clock to digiclock so as to not obscure the photo, and changed omweather font to match.

Heres my screens. lockslider and catorise icons copy/pasted my self.
using pleego blue scheme from blackplastic. and bluesky icons with theme customizer.

the font is Sony Sketch EF set to +1 with theme customizer. downloadable from almost every free font sites, i think :)

how do i go about gettin the reflections on to my wallpaper on gimp like you have is there any sort of tutorial around or anything?

All new clocks are done in QueenB (thanks Dany-69!!), yes I've finally bit the bullet and started messing around with this awesome, awesome program and yes it is incredible, no 'no's about it! ;)

All apps on the vert desktop can be used in portrait natively without the need for ctrl-shift-r; Fapman, Filebox, Instinctiv, FastSMS, MicroB, General Settings (with the MohammadAG mod), ConnectNow widgets, photos (not quite but enough for me - at least they autorotate!) and of course phone.

Writing on the connectnow vert widgets had to be copied from the originals, rotated and then set as no-name shown.

I removed the operator name completely so it wouldn't show up on the vert desktop, and drew it directly on each wallpaper. I did edit the 'connecting' and 'offline' names so that (only on the landscape desktops) when it is connecting or offline it actually reads: 'N900 Connecting...' and 'N900 Offline'. Looks sh1te on the vert desktop... but working on a fix as we speak! Definitely a work in progress that one.

Also at the moment the desktop clock widget on the vert desktop is for show, but I did ask Nicolai about portrait in the next release and he said he would implement it if enough people were interested. It's built-in, open OMweather, widget style, edit custom layout, then drag transparency to nothing

Ok, i'm desperate to know how you got portrait icons. Did you just copy them tilted or do they actually rotate?

Just one to show my new menu icon, for now it's just the launcher icon but hoping to change the whole set over the next few days. if anyone has any tips on 'highlight' i.e. how to make an icon 'glow' for a notification it'd be much appreciated (does it do it automatically by just making whatever icon light up, or does it need to the custom icon to have something?)

hello, yes i found the turorial in youtube, but is in spanish, sure there are also in english, i found it for for reflect apple efect, if you can not find nothing just send me a pm and i tell you to do it and send you any video;)

Couple new menu icons. Guitar with blue background is TaskLauncherIconPressed, the Stones logo is TaskSwitcherIcon, pressed it has a black background. Just need to do the 'highlight' one but waiting for an answer on how it glows first, and deciding what to make it - any suggestions?

Never noticed the search this thread tool. Very useful site info. Thanks.

With two widgets now available to switch to any desktop you want I will now using the 9 desktop allowance. I want to put a title on each desktop (system, planner, media, applications, communication, etc). Probably have the titles in the same position on each desktop (probably top right).

Can someone think of an easy, clean way to do this (other than using photo edit software to write the text on to the wallpaper - since I would have to do this each time I decide I want new wallpaper)? Can QBW for example be used to just create a title? If so how?
