installed it, and ran a few ames, but all with the same results, the sound is LOW quality, and the games run somewhat good, a bit slow, not that much tho, my questions are:

1.- can we change the button structure?
2.- can we save ingame or save states? (i would like to play ff games)
3.- so we need to overclock in order for the game to be faster?
4.- if we need to overclock, how much does it need to be? is 850 good?

Memorycard saves should work fine.
Emulator savestate is not accessible ATM.

once you run the terminal, write "cd ~" without quote and then enter then write "ls" without quote then enter, check if the memory files are in there!

or you'll see a list of file names, check if mcd001.mcr and mcd002.mcr are there.

if you feel its too slow, then overclock :) you could use QCPUFreq to do a temporary overclock first before trying a permanent method

Over clocking is a breeze and with qcpufreq as Nexus says, a simple press of the button and bosch ur at 1.15ghz WOOT!

that app doesnt allow you to overclock
it allows you to lower cpu proccessing speed

that would only happen if you have already overclocked your phone by using one of Titans images

If you click help it says: This application allows you to limit cpu speed

Absolutely right.

If you have a normal clocked cpu, you get only max frequecy of 600Mhz (Standard clock)
Then you have 550Mhz, 500Mhz and 250Mhz optional changes to the max.

No Idea what Smartreflex is though.

Smart reflex is a function to conserve as much battery power as possible by disabling certain processes not needed, lowering CPU usage, lowering battery consumption.

I think when i oc'd mine, the Smartreflex deactivated (0)
and when I try to activate my smartreflex and mine reboots.
Titan's kernel, 500-1000Mhz frequency.

Ye I thats what I meant, people make overclocking sound harder than it is, especially for people who don't know how to use xterm, all that is required is to install the kernel for power users and then setting which is well documented on this forum again and again.

Once done the next step is to use xterm or queenbecon to change the speed and this for some people is the hard bit, using cpufreq it take one fingers to switch from 1.15ghz back down to 700 ;)

overclocking is a cake walk is all I meant.

People make speeding harder than it is, especially for people which just passed driver's license exams. All that is required is replacing your old car, with a one with a stronger engine, which is well described on every car market.

Once done that, the next step is to use your gear lever to go to the top gear and this for some people is the hard bit. Then you just push the accelerator and welcome the speed of light.



P.S. Oh yes, I forgot to mention that it may shorten your [phone] life significantly. Whoops. Sorry.

it defo helps with VGBA as there you can see the speed change right away. perhaps not so easy to see with the N64 and PSX4M due to the GPU bottleneck.

I do however believe that everyone as Smoku says should "push the accelerator and welcome the speed of light" ;)

smoku i just downloaded it and when i click to play a rom in it it dosnt register and it dosnt work when i go into file manager and try to open with psx... because it isnt there on the list to open it with what should i do?

It would be nice to have the possibility to load games in PSP EBOOT.PBP format, like the psx4droid version supports.

Oh, and psx4m has realy the same problems with textures on Tony Hawks and graphics in Oddwold, the old psx4all ME didn't had.

On my device psx4m segfaults with all games I've tried (nascar rumble, need for speed 1) right after typing "psx4m --loadcd myimage.iso".

psx4all closes itself also immediately after pressing the "run" button. Any help?

I'm sure the bios is needed in MyDocs. Cant test it at the moment as my n900 is unzpping a file a is unresponsive. On the first post there is a link to a guide that has the bios image. Try putting that in MyDocs and see if you get the same problem.

I use psx4m -runcd FFIX.iso and it runs fine. Also works with psx4m -runcdbios FFIX.iso (runs it through the bios) so might be worth trying that??

With -runcdbios it goes a bit longer; I get full black screen for few seconds, then it disappears and segfaults back to terminal :P

out of curiosity, does it segfault if you use psx4m -runbios game.iso? This should bring you to the memory card management page.

No, it opens the card managment just fine. Allthough I wish I could remap my keys.. now I need to push shift+right arrow to get down arrow and shift+left arrow to get up (I have finnish kb).

in that case it may be the files that are causing it. from the working games thread there a few people that have had seg faults on some games but not others. are you using pal or ntfs versions of the games as ntfs have a higher success rate.
