Re: NYC Nokia store is selling

went yesterday to the store and they told me to come back on the weekend and never mentioned waiting list or something like it, called today and someone told me that was already sold out.

that is very disappointing, I'm flying back to Brazil tomorrow and will try to go again to see if I can pick one up.

is there a name I can give to get one on the waiting list?

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. If I had an N900, I'd sell you mine and replace it next week. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting on Amazon and Dell to ship my preorders...

Have a nice trip back to Brazil. Hope you get an N900 before you leave.

I'll wait until I get my unit to reserve judgement (as I DONT want to believe it either) BUT it MIGHT look like Eldar was correct about the stability...

I've tried every OS under the sun and this one is just plain unfinished. I actually had the phone reboot 4 times since i got it, at random moments. And yes, there are so many annoying quirks in day-to-day usage, many (but not all) related to the idiotic lack of portrait mode. "....

We have a few people here with the units - can we get some feedback on this. Is it possible that there are some bad units out there, is this universal. i would like to hear what hey were doing when the phone rebooted.

I have to say the line

"many (but not all) related to the idiotic lack of portrait mode"

does not suggest an impartial view.

So what you're saying is, Nokia knowingly released a device with a OS that isn't completed?

Yikes. Sentences man. Things are much easier to read as sentences than run on things that go forever talking about several things without pause see what I mean it's really hard to read stuff like this please think about this when posting in the future thanks a lot I really appreciate it.
