just to point out....after the update and ugrade...and a reboot...microb works fine without crashing...I dont know if it's just me but it seems faster and every site still opens without any error...sites like google.ru that someone complained about....good work freemangordon

Well, if you can open https://www.google.com without modifying the value for tls in about:config, then you most probably are still running the non-thumb version of microb ;)

I really think you need to check powerpc, itanium, amr4, younameit branch
If your "ported upstream patches" are built in a way they would break ARM build, you evidently messed it up to implement them
AFAIK upstream/main is meant to compile on all platforms, with all valid options - at very least there _never_ can be a patch upstream that when "backported" to our local branch would make that branch fail to compile for ARM. Either it been broken before and we better fix it for all upstream stuff, or your backport is flawed.

While I know you love to argue just for the sake of arguing, I will miss the party this time. You are involved enough in CSSU stuff (one way or another) to know that thumb-testing branch of source code on gitorious was created exactly for the purpose of having the source code that MIGHT not be compatibe with Maemo5 default compiler. Keeping backward compatibility to Maemo5 SDK (as distributed by Nokia) has never been a goal of that branch.

And in addition - will you point to at least one example of me not trying to keep backward compatibility, as much as humanly possible, no matter which project. Once you've questioned my expertise and experience and I am ok with that, it is your right, but throwing some random toughts on the principles of Linux development in general, while refusing to make yourself aware of the facts smells to me like trolling.

MicroB update appears to have worked fine, although the install of libgcc_s.so.1 found no version of it already installed.
Full busybox output is attached.

Sorry I forgot you also need a fixed compiler version. Point taken. never mind.

I have n900 after full reflash with latest cssu thumb and microb update.
Microb sometimes reboots n900. Is it only my n900 problem or not ?

EDIT: I reflashed n900 once again. First install all apps, then install cssu thumb and it's working stable and fast.

MicroB crashed on me once, in ~ 1 week of normal usage. Can't say it was website or thumb related. Never rebooted/ activated the watchdogs in my N900 though.

Re: [ANNOUNCE] CSSU-thumb thread - stable Thumb2 on N900

small bug:
-open microb (the bookmark page)
-make sure there are enough bookmark that you need to scroll to see all bookmarks
-try to scroll to the bottom end of the bookmark
-once it reaches to the bottom, it scrolls back to top without reason.

i don't think it was the case with original microb nor this happens with other's n900.

thanks.
