Is there a similar configuration for screen touch orientation ?

Same for me

We should be patient for this one. Since there are many applications that need 3 to 6 months of development for a stable release. And, I am sure jflatt knows what is he doing. So better hope this will be fixed soon.

Are you experimenting the same issue as the speed forge? or, galcon?

Not really. I am still facing the "missing objects" issue though it's not very annoying(critical) in this game and can continue playing.

Re: Preenv webOS games compatibility list

I didn't try Galcon or Speed Forge on Preenv 0.1.3 so I don't know if the issue is similar.

I can try those games tonight (in about 10 hours).

The keymap for Toonwarz is done.
http://www.mediafire.com/?hdz4j3032fq5z7z
A precaution: the keyboard is actually mapped a bit from before. The arrow keys are for walking.
You'll have to configure it in the settings for the game in the Controls-menu. You can choose Steering if you want it to work with the keyboard of this script.
Its easy to figure out the controls.
Just a note: Im not responsible for anything that goes wrong.

How you copy them? using xterm? just send them with bluetooth and save them to MyDocs,
run xterm
sudo gainroot
sh /home/user/MyDocs/name.sh

for sd
sh /media/mmc1/name.sh

First off, grab the script from mido.fayad. You can search for it. (It's healthy to search... :P )
Second, run that script, and you're ready to play.

Personally, making scripts is a simple thing. I made the script for Toonwarz in 10 minutes. All you need is the coordinates and ASCII codes for the keys you intend to use. Along with some logic. (Regarding the choice of mouse. You can't use mouse 1 for aiming and walking.)

Yes, I have the same issue with Galcon (bad touch screen orientation).

Speed Forge seems to have a scaling issue but not on the first menu screen (only on ship select and race).

On Galcon, I tried this :
gconftool-2 --set --type int /apps/preenv/galcon/screen_rotation 0
But it has absolutely no effect.

I am currently using the libsdlpre.so from jflatt (because of a crash on Raging Thunder 2 with the default library). This can block the gconf settings ?

Ok, I just download a new version of libsdlpre.so from :
http://members.cox.net/jflatt/libsdlpre.so

It seems that the gconf setting works now: I tried it on Galcon and it works great ;).

This library also fixed my Speed Forge issue.

But I try gconf on Radiant and Buka : the screen touch turns as same as the screen display so there is always a bad mapping between display and controls :(.

Browse to the location where you saved the file. (You know where MyDocs and all that is located, right?)
If you saved to the main storage, grab a new Xterm and type "cd MyDocs". (Without "")
Then, if the script is there, type "sh assassins" and you can press the Tab button on the screen. (Will auto-complete name. Again, no "".)

ok - fixed with:
gconftool-2 --set --type int /apps/preenv/risk/screen_rotation 3
gconftool-2 --set --type int /apps/preenv/risk/screen_height 480
gconftool-2 --set --type int /apps/preenv/risk/screen_width 800

gconftool-2 --set --type int /apps/preenv/risk/screen_width 800

Thanks to this, I can make Buka and Radiant playable again with this configuration (with normal proportions) :

gconftool-2 --set --type int /apps/preenv/Buka/screen_rotation 0
gconftool-2 --set --type int /apps/preenv/Buka/screen_height 480
gconftool-2 --set --type int /apps/preenv/Buka/screen_width 320

gconftool-2 --set --type int /apps/preenv/Radiant/screen_rotation 0
gconftool-2 --set --type int /apps/preenv/Radiant/screen_height 480
gconftool-2 --set --type int /apps/preenv/Radiant/screen_width 320

But sadly, there is a big part of the screen in black. Too bad we cannot set the touch screen region as same as we can set the screen display...

Thanks for the help ;).

No, if I try this, the image is spread (same wrong display as Preenv 0.1.3) but the touch screen controls are "crushed" on the bottom part of game display (left part of the screen). It seems that whatever the display is, the touch screen is always at a resolution of 480x320 with "portrait" orientation (on previous Preenv version, it was also on "portrait" orientation but the resolution was 480x800).

I am sorry for this beginner question but what difference there is between "screen_rotation" 0 or 4 or 8 (1 or 5 or 9, ...)?

http://developer.palm.com/index.php?...DL_Orientation
Code:

0  Indicates center button is below screen.
1  Indicates center button is to screen's left.
2  Indicates center button is above screen.
3  Indicates center button is to screen's right.

Anything else is undefined, but in most cases would be the same as 0. 3 is the default
