NOT a good look Nokia, NOT a good look.

Come on people, it's JUST a phone. Don't make it the bane of your existance!

I have not yet received the email from nokia retail, despite switching to them. Should I be worried, or is it just a matter of time?
I recieved the email right after sending MPD a messge on their website asking about my order so maybe they wont always contact you unless you contact them first. Worth a try!

Dear Customer

We’re sorry to again advise you that the N900 has been delayed. There is however good news - Nokia have advised that we will receive stock into our Nokia Retail stores to allow us to dispatch your N900 on the 3rd December. Please accept our sincere apologies for this further delay which is out of our control, and be assured that you are on a priority list for dispatch of a Nokia N900 as soon as it becomes available.

Nokia Retail stores and Nokia online are the only place that the N900 is currently available on a pay monthly contract. For more details of the Nokia N900 please visit our new Nokia Retail website
All the retailers have the same date. They are allowed to hand the device over to the customer on 4th of december the latest. So that is why this date. Nokia flagship store's and online stores have the exclusivity to sell the n900 until that date.

We can ask Tarantino to do a new film ... like
- Kill Nok
- Nokia Fiction
- Inglourious Nokia Basterds
- From October till December
- Nokia Born Killers
- Nokia Proof

Yes, it is JUST a phone. It is a TOOL that I was planning on utilizing to make it easier for me to accomplish certain tasks. Now I'm without the tool I was expecting, and I did not purchase a substitute device to tide me over until.... until.... well who really knows when. Back in October I would have been in the position to pick up something. Now, not so much. So I'm getting more and more peeved.

Is that really SO HARD to understand?

I NEVER said it was the bane of my existence. But Nokia is losing goodwill with this continual botched launch. And the Nokia apologists are not making things better by suggesting we're a bunch of fools for expecting more from Nokia and that the way they're doing this launch is a GOOD thing.

Re: N900 shipping delayed

Sorry guys, but Nokia wants to give the phones on the same time for all the first priority countries. Nokia Finland said that it will be in the Flagshipstore in 27. of this month, and the preordered phones from webstore will be shipped in next week. Retailers however can start their selling in 4th of december, so the place where I ordered my phone (Saunalahti, operator) will ship the phones in 3th.

Don't lose your nerves guys. It's here, soon, in couple of weeks... :)
