maemo.org - Talk - Looks like the MeeGo Handset UX is almost out

Building using the kickstart file downloaded from the Nokia code drop site creates an image that uses Nokia non-free bits. Redistributing those without permission can get you into hot water.

If you want an image without building it yourself, waiting for an image to be uploaded is your best bet.

guess I'll have to wait a few hours till I get home. didn't think about proprietary.

These instructions are well suited for my Fedora 12

Hah for the first time instructions other than Debian/Ubuntu :D

If it runs it anything like my macbook runs it, then "plays" means "barely, and at low FPS even with all the options turned down."

Still an impressive feat for a handset, but I wouldn't be shocked at the total lack of battery life ;)

u can use vm to install linux
