First of all I think Steve needs a big round of applause for making this work.

Anyone tried flash 10.1? Does it run better than flash in maemo5 pr1.2?

Because there are no brands called "Scandisk" as Scandisk is a Windows Utility used to detect errors on the hard disk. Sandisk is the name you are looking for. If Sandisk is not supported, then you should go and buy a new card since they are so cheap these days selling for $15USD for 4GB.

BTW.. have you noticed your posts were moved to the other thread by a mod? Maybe you will get more friendlier answers posting to the right thread for help and saving people from trawling through pages of "How do I run Xterm"?

The answer is in post 2. Use the correct thread if you want more info than that.

I have no idea what went wrong

if I need to provide any more information, I have my ssh log open still...

help!

When it boots up have you tried pressing 0 on the qwerty keyboard, this should then take you into Maemo.

Have you created an item file for multiboot? It's clearly stated in first post of this thread.

Hi thanks for you help - I had received the same advice on the nitdroid help topic.

However it didn't work for some reason would you mind looking at my ssh log and make sure i did not make a mistake?

I followed the instructions on the NITDroid website and installed a the 5.3 version of the NIT droid software. It booted fine without an issue.

I later installed (after a complete wipe of my N900) Steve's 6.0 release. The bootloader starts without an issue, I select the option to boot into nitdroid and it starts to load. However, at about the spot where the previous version goes to the Matrix-style loading screen, I now get a blank screen with only a little blinking cursor in the top left corner. I left it overnight and same thing in the morning.

After rebooting, I went back into the Maemo software, mounted the /and partition, and started digging through the logs. I came across the following, which I think is the point of the problem. I've since re-installed and tried again, and some issue. Any ideas?

Did you download the latest kernel 2.6.28-05 and new multiboot and multiboot extras? if no just install them and you will have a fresh new Nitdroid on your phone (thanks to everyone that made that this thing working flawlessly) (sorry for my bad english) :)
