Re: Preenv webOS games compatibility list

i havent read the whole thread (mainly cause its help me i cant...)

but given that these webos games are so easily 'ported' to maemo, why the hell arent the developers packaging them as .debs and selling them? has anyone contacted gameloft etc.? i understand n900 didnt receive much love as there was no mass market, but when you have games that ALREADY RUN ON N900, then it seems stupid not to sell to n900 users. if they make enough money from the games that run as-is, perhaps they'll even find a workaround for the ones that require multitouch and such.

Simple ignorance and bureaucratic trivia.

It probably boils down to something stupid like "We'd have to expand our customer support to the n900 which would cost x% more, the user base does not justify the investment even though we would make a margin of x% based on market study."

I would be interested to see Rovio's earning from Angry birds. They have a monopoly as the only game everyone buys for their n900...

Re: Preenv webOS games compatibility list

Well, everything is dandy with Asphalt5,
except I can't get it so save, no matter how I try.
I have followed all the steps, in the video too,
and still I must start over at the beginning
after conquering levels on a previous try....

Thank you

file permission. you need to set the executible nfl2010 to user29999

Can you clarify more when you said "set the executible nfl2010 to user29999 please?

Thanks in advance.

I tried following the way of installing from http://wiki.maemo.org/Preenv/FAQ

and yeah, it says "permission denied" when I did ./nfl2010.

How to permit the installation? What commands?

Thankies :)

did you change the permission and ownership of the sym link like previous people have said because that will make a difference.

there is an auto installer on the repos for nfs undercover which worked brilliantly... any chance of an auto installer for all of the games?
