1.2 is done several weeks ago and currently tested as Quim said in another thread.

I think it's possible that the Meego project caused some reorganization and delays. Could be wrong...

How to contact Nokia DIRECT to complain.

Nokia are contactable directly if you are prepared to write a letter and send direct to Nokia headquarters, this i feel is the only way to force some kind of responce from a company that appears is not concerned enough about customer care.

I was going to start chuckling about this but then it occurred to me: this is a brilliant idea. How about all you people complaining about whatever issue you have the with N900, instead of whining here (which is easy but completely ineffective) be proactive and write to Nokia? This is not a Nokia company forum; it will help declog a bit this mess. Put your money where your mouth is.

Misleading... that would mean that PR1.2 exists, but we don't. In fact, I think it is the opposite. We exist and PR1.2 doesn't.

Everyone needs this update but you must realise a few things thats going on with the N900 , am suprised nobody has actually made a topic regarding this but i will explain one or two.
The N900 is a brand new concept and completly unknown to the developing world untill Nokia in there wisdom manufactured it, ok for all its downfalls currently you all need to realise this community is HUGE now and completly devoted to the N900 and its future development and needs to be highly commended for the work going on by all its members in one way or another.
I am sure and i feel everyone wil agree here that no matter what Nokia decide for the N900 that this community will and does have a huge input to the internal software of the N900 and for it to be right we had to go through the process of a completly new concept in mobile phone/computer design and a lot of feedback has now been created which means Nokia now know the direction to go purely by the feedback on this community and its development which i might add is unknown before to actually have such public input into there own device.
PLEASE be patient !!! good things are on the verge of happining that will make the N900 the best thing since sliced bread ha ha.
Please thank the community for there work and huge huge commitment for YOUR N900 !

He would mean that no new fixes or features are being added beyond the ones that are already in it; only bugs that stop it working properly are being fixed.

Monday... nothing. Perhaps next week... perhaps not.
Unable to install-update lots of apps for weeks.
If Microsoft do this, they'll be blamed for years.

He was quite right though. Please tell me, when have Nokia ever stated that they will release the update on say..April 1st? They never said ANYTHING about this frickin update. We ALL just ASSUMED that it is happening on April 1st/2nd.

So quit blaming nokia for your assumptions. They didn't say anything. This all came about by a leak of the changelog and updating the autobuilder. Nokia never said anything. If anything blame the starter of this thread for raising your hopes up and now having to wait patiently.
