Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic

I used this file: NITDroid-0.0.3-1-Eclair-WiFi.tbz2

but i can't get wifi to work, it says unable to search then settings goes off.

I get something like this error at boot screen: *init "system/lib/moudles/radio-bcm00" error: no such file

Also if i leave it idle for a while, it boots maemo alone!

Any ideas?

Wi-Fi doesn't work at first boot, did you try to reboot?

Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic

bcm eror is fine, a reboot of device after first boot sorts out wifi. if not delete everything in the /data folder and try again (goto wifi on first boot - it will fail then restart and it should work

Chrome 2010-06-26 13:38

Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic

ok, quick update : new ECLAIR rootfs up at below link. use zImage4 to boot it.

changelog:
Auto-overclock: if you have kernel-power setup and installed in maemo android will activate your choosen settings on boot for you.
new lines in device info screen: leave this to you to find :)
headset/headphone support. the official nokia headset should work not sure about other headphones.

no other edits,

Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic

ok I have been using android today, installed some apps an games was testing em out. Everything was fine for a while then I was about to turn it off, held the power key in to get the shutdown menu, as I did that the screen began to dim out an eventually jst blacked out. I presume my batt died as it was a bit low. I have been trying to charge it, taken batt out, even removed the sd card, tried diff cables but its as if its not charging!
any ideas? :-S

Now that i've finished installing android, should i disable R&D mode? if so, how?

Is there any side effects from disabling it?

Android will shut down 60 seconds (probably less) after it starts booting up, as long as you want android, you have to keep R&D mode on.

How long you kept the battery out for?? Try taking the battery out, holding the power button for about 10 secs, then stick the battery back in...

This is not related to the android port (let alone the development thread for it), it might be a coincidence that it happened when you installed android, open up a new thread, you'll get more 'attention' that way and you won't spam the dev thread.

Use charger.
Charging current on low battery is too much for usb port.

yeah ive got it sitting on the wall charger, I only tried charging it an connecting via pc to see if i could get anything to come up. Ive just left it sitting there on the wall charger but still no LED indication of anything so I have no idea what is up with it.
This could be unrelated to Nitdroid, I dunno I'm unsure, but I did flash a power kernel and had it sitting in r&d mode since yesterday but only started testing and using nitdroid today then I encountered this problem

This update is noticeably slower than the previous one, and keyboard light isn't working.

Also it says calendar storage crashed on start up.

Remove your battery, wait a minute, reinsert. Should bring it back.

I got ~100kB/s too, running Linux Mint from a USB Stick.

My guess is that you will need to use ADB.
