also, the 7za command that squishee relies on doesn't support rar. but don't worry I'm going to make the tools and command lines that squishee uses completely customizable. |
Re: Try 7-zip (Command Line Only)
This is what I'm getting from squishee.py:
File "/usr/bin/squishee.py", line 149, in <module> gtk.set_application_name ("Squishee"); AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'set_application_name' |
Re: Try 7-zip (Command Line Only)
Same thing here, with python fully installed as well as the 7z version.

I see that there's a whole thread on the issue here :

i get the same set_application_name error when i run squishee in my dev enironment (sorry, should have checked that). that is very strange that it isn't in the api anymore. i'll just comment out for now. |
Re: Try 7-zip (Command Line Only)
The problem with python's installation was the whole repository issue for os2008. The packages didn't exist in repository.maemo.org/extras like they should have, but instead for some reason in repostory.maemo.org/extras.

Re: Try 7-zip (Command Line Only)
I've updated the OS2008 package of squishee. The version tag now reads v0.1.0-3
Hope this version works. |
Re: Try 7-zip (Command Line Only)
Cripes I just tried installing 7zip and squishee and after fixing a quote mis-match on line 88 I got this (on my N800 OS2008):
/home/user # squishee.py process 1754: D-Bus library appears to be incorrectly set up; failed to read machine uuid: Failed to open "/var/lib/dbus/machine-id": No such file or directory See the manual page for dbus-uuidgen to correct this issue. D-Bus not built with -rdynamic so unable to print a backtrace Aborted :( |
Re: Try 7-zip (Command Line Only)
Thanks for spotting the string error (I hate how little things like that seem to creep into my packages - i really need to clean up my work flow). The osso breakage has me puzzled. I get the same error in the SDK, even when using the python2.5 osso examples from pymaemo (I thought it was just my sdk, though). This may relate to the python package repository issues the others are having. I've taken the package down for now and will put up a new version 1.0.4 later. Without the osso calls squishee is pretty useless in its present state.
I'm glad I held off on upgrading to OS2008. Trying to write code with these issues would have driven me nuts |
