ok, can anyone tell me how to use 7 zip to open the rar fle on the acutal n900 itself, and them install the application onto the n900?

You have to type it in again - you can tell the difference because the command line will start with a '#' in root mode, and with a '$' in user mode (by default anyway).

yhx, i reallly wanted to be sure of when i was in root mode (the dangerous stuff) and when i was in regular terminal access. i am super careful either way but its good to be aware
