"Great Britain" is not a country, i think that's what you meant.

The uk is not a country - england , scotland , wales and northern ireland together make up the uk but seperately we are individual countries .

the official name is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Britain is the island of which England, Scotland and Wales are.
UK is a Union of Countries

hmm each country as its own parliament that makes them countries to me and it's not only football that we compete seperatle in theres many other sports.
we are also recognised as separate countries in the common wealth.
