i think if you registered your number with a different phone before you get messages regarding to it.

I'm from Finland and got also same SMS from Nokia and I checked NSU and OTA and there was no update. I updated 1.1 when it came.

I think that e-mail is referring to NSU update, not for fw upgrade.

Ya, i got both email and sms from Nokia saying NSU updates is available yesterday. Hmm, then check the website or update site, nothing new.

Hey, that could be it! I know I haven't received any update messages. They'd be completely unnecessary for the N900 anyway, because of the excellent update notifications. I wonder how many poor, clueless N97 users are still on the first firmware.
