...may be a little lighter on the "Flash" and still give everyone a consistent baseline, vs. speedtest.net


I second checking with "wired" connection as well. If you're using your own router, behind any "Cox" provided device, does that WAN port support speeds above 10Mb? My older Netgear SOHO routers (blue metal box) do not.

I am on the grandpa plan with t-mobile ($5.99). Now that they pushed 3G to my area, the N900 surfs the net like a pro.. haha. I checked my data usage at t-moibile.com and have already used about 1.5Gs of data half way through my cycle.

My speed test is clocking way above 10Mbps :D

I'm still on the $5.99, are you using internet2.voicestream.com? My speeds are terrible, even though I have 3g listed.

lol yeah. i was getting that too with no wifi connected, but it is false. i download a lot with my n900 and it never goes over 150k/sec. 150k/sec = 1.2Mbit = tmobile max 3g speeds. my is always switching between 3 to 3.5g.

I got 3Mb on Internet2 APN...so I think its possible to get benefits of the "7Mb" network. I'm not so convinced about that mobilespeedtest.com site.

I get roughly 850 - 940 kbps download speed and 330 kbps upload using www.speedtest.net and www.speakeasy.net/speedtest . So not much has changed since last week I tested. I was hoping to get noticeable improvements with this "reported" upgrade. I'm using the epc APN.

Downtown Miami. The Miami area is usually one of first or second group of markets when there is a deployment... So when they announce "the whole 3G network have been upgraded" I would expect to be covered by the upgrade

I think TMobile and AT&T have upgraded their networks, they just haven't flipped the on switch yet. Something about testing it city by city.
