The meego device will be running qt 4.6, meaning all apps should be easily made available on n900

More apps for us - that can't be bad

I assume it's a tweaked Moblin (and the tweak may be no more than a logo change). The LG runs an Intel x86 Moorestown CPU, not an ARM. It has definite kick-a potential.

The naysayers here need to realize that more manufacturers making more devices on the Meego platform is a good thing. While it may not help the N900, it will bring more developers to the OS in the long run.

Well... This LG phone has no hardware keyboard. To me, that alone makes my N900 WAY better. (gaming, typing etc)

That's why we need a lot of different devices. I don't need hardware keyboard, but I drool over the bigger and higher resolution screen. For me the N900 is way too small ;)

Python and other interpreted apps should run.....but others will need a recompile

I dont know what it is with LG and making long phones like this (remember Chocolate? Wouldn't be caught dead with that in my hand). Maybe this is OK since its a tablet and all?
